I got an urgent call from a McDonalds owner operator, he needs a store cleaned, as soon a possible wants to know what I charge and can I come out tonight. I told him it depends how dirty and I would have to look at it first. He said oh it's not that bad it was just cleaned 4 months ago. Well I sent one of my crews by to look at it and this is what they brought back.

Bryan,
To me it appears not to have been cleaned for a lot longer than 4 months. In the altenative perhaps they actually had it done by the Subcretin 4 months ago!
Richard

my guess is over a year, I have seen McDonalds that I was told had gone over a year since the last cleaning that were not as bad.

Nice work Bryan! That could be 4 months for a McDonalds. Remember that they do probably more burgers than 2 or 3 of your other burger joints combined. Here is on that definately hasn't been done in more than 4 months. You can see that it is almost an identical system to the one Bryan cleaned. What did you charge for that one Bryan?

Matt If I'm not mistaken your picture is of a grill duct, they do get pretty bad in 4 months, that grease is much easier to remove though.
My picture was of a fryer duct, it was the worst 2 or 3 fryer ducts I have seen. I charged $500 for that store, corporate had just taken it back form an owner operator and I try to keep the price down for them, kinda I'll scratch your back thing.

If it had been an owner operator store I may have gone as much as $650 or $700 depending on the feel I got from the owner. McDonalds owner operators in this area are a pain in the but, they never want to clean it on time and I have about $6500 on the books 45 to 90 days past due, all owner operators.

by way of comparison

this is from one of my recent jobs, McDonalds fry duct 3 month frequency.

sorry I attached the wrong after picture, but you get the idea

Hi Matt and Bryan,

Those are awesome camera shots. Can you tell us what kind of camera you fellas use?

Jones

sorry I was wrong before about what camera's we use, those pictures were taken with a olympus D-360L, no it does not have a zoom option on it, the next camera up the Olympus ladder has a zoom option, but it also has a flip up flash that stuck out like a sore thumb and the guys broke two of them so I took a step back to this camers with a built I flash that is turned on with the push of a button.

He said oh it's not that bad it was just cleaned 4 months ago. Well I sent one of my crews by to look at it and this is what they brought back.

I'm doing 10 McD's accounts and as per those I have I would be surprised this fryer duct has been done in the last 4 months... I would say this one has not been done in between 6 and 12 months!
