Simple Question, has anyone used the flood line of stains and if so what did you think of them.
Gav

The flood PRO Series sealer was good. Can be re coated wet on wet. I was use to readyseal odor, but the flood wasn't as bad. If you get the Pro Series chems/sealers you will have better result than the stuff put out for the over the counter consumer products.

I dont recommend the CWF-UV, except I have heard some people be happy with it on fences. I have not heard much negative comments about their solid stains......

By the way Reed, Ready Seal doesnt smell much anymore.........tried the new version yet?? It was awesome.

Mike,

what is different with the 'new' version??

Outlaw, there are better products you can get. If you don't do many decks, i can understand wanting to buy something close and local. If that is the case, i would suggest: Wolmans, Cabots, or TWP. If it is cedar wood, the twp 101 is unbeatable.

Mike,

The new formula is great. Somewhat of a sweet smell. Pierce said something about a new zinc additive that doesn't have such a strong odor to it. Much better. Now when I bathe in it I won't have the old smell on my truck seats.

Everything is the same, except for one ingredient, the one that used to make it STINK! My wife is thrilled.

Ready Seal Odor

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that our formula has not changed.
We are just now using a low odor version of what caused the
smell. Everything is still the same. There have been no changes
to the product.

Peirce Ready Products

Hey Peirce, I e-mailed yall at ready products and you did send me some swatches and some samples, I was just wondering if yall had any literature to go with them ie price sheets, promo lit etc.

Don & Peirce,

Welcome to this BBS,

I wanted to Thank you & Don for making Ready Seal smell so much nicer.

As you know my company does over 700 deck jobs a year using Ready Seal and I for one couldn't be happier. Now we not only have the best sealer/stain in the World, but also the best smelling.

Love ya my friend
Thanks again

Gav,

I use Flood Spa-n-Deck pretty much exclusively now and have tremendous results. It is not the easiest to work with, but nevertheless, it has given me some superior results.

I would drink a gallon of bleach before I would use CWF-UV. My personal feelings.

Spa and Deck

I was just introduced to Spa and Deck. I would like to try it and want some tips and advice for its use. I have only used wolman F&P for the last two years but I can not get consistant results. I like F&P when the the results are good.. Let me know please...

We switched to Spa n Deck almost two years ago and never looked back, except to look at the the early decks. They look great.
With F&P we had several failures, quick burnoff and fade. We only use when requested.:)
