Fatboy FRYING Pressure Switch?

As you may know Pressure Washer Products recommends using a minimum of 5/8" or 3/4" id hose for with the Delavan Fatboy.

Using 1/2" hose and 200' feet will cause hose friction loss and an increase in back pressure as the hose is moved to a vertical position on a roof. That poor pump is desperately trying to get the chemical out of that long skinny hose and up one or two stories. Using 1/2" hose on these pumps will cause the pressure switch to go on and off over and over again. This is bad for the electric motor, too.

Our customers that upsize the hose to 5/8" or 3/4" do not have pressure switch problems or relay problems. They do not have to send their pumps in for a inspection and repair.

While we are talking hose, please use the general rule of thumb in plumbing a pump. If the intake id is 1/2", DOUBLE the id of the hose supplying the pump to 1". Flood the pump and do not make your pump work to get the chemical into it.
