Ryder Certified

Anyone completed the Ryder Certified stack of paperwork recently? Any phone calls or input is greatly appreciated as the verbage inside the paperwork is a tad overwhelming since we have no permits available for Mobile Fleet Washing in this state. Only NDPES permits site specific so have no clue where to go.

We went through it too. We didn't have "permits" available either. We contacted the proper offices, EPA and state DEP, and they both issued us a "certificate of exemption". We just had to show specs on our equipment and detailed processes to ensure "compliance".
The only downside, it might put you on a watch list. We were regularly visited by an "enforcer" at a few job sites. We started making sure there was a bottled water or coke in the cooler for him at jobs he came to regularly.
Many of our fleet accounts have been parked since mid-'07 and we haven't seen him since then either.

Chris, you can give me a call and I can help you with the paperwork. They may end up stopping by to see your facility for discharge or require a letter from the POTW you end up using.

Paperwork done, insurance being bound this week and were done. There were a few hand ups on this but 90% of it was on the MGR not completing his end of the paperwork

Chris is still washing a lot of trucks but does not visit the forums much at all, he did get Ryder certified for some of his accounts.
