Cover letter for unsolicited bid??

There is an apartment complex in my town that is owned by a property management company a few hours away. I called their office and asked if they were accepting bids on the moldy apartments in my town. The lady said yes please mail them in and gave me their address. However she never said who's attention to send them and she never identified herslef. So whoever recieves these bids would assume they are unsolicited. I assume I should send a cover letter with the bid explaining my companty etc..... Does anyone have a cover letter of this type they would be able to share??

Thanks!!!
Cory

That's a hard one. You might consider calling back and asking. Just introduce yourself again, say you spoke with someone, got an address, and would like to know to who's attention you should address the bid, perhaps even ask for a fax number.
When the right name is on it, it actually gets considered. If it's a small enough company, a generic cover letter might work out.

How many said don't bother? How many said sure send the info but we won't do anything with it.

Save the packets, mine cost around 33.00 bucks each.

Calling is part of un solicited.

You will direct marketing and call. The problem with the calling is you will get bad info spin wheels. Don't trust the info you get.

Send the proposal without anything. Try it see what happens. Send 20
