BT200 Test...

I found an oil stain that I will be testing BT200 that Doug Rucker of Green Solutions has sent:
I will be following these instructions.
On Really tough Old Oil Stains:

Sometimes on really tough stains (say ¼ - ½” thick) the solvents have evaporated away and the oil is hard like taffy. You need to 'soften up' the stains before cleaning them. If you have 4 – 6 hours to wait, just apply the BT200™ full strength (after sundown in an exposed area) and let it sit on the surface overnight. If you are in a hurry, use mineral spirits (available at local hardware stores for $1/gallon or less) and pre-spray the stain. This will soften and liquefy the oil and make it easier for the microbes to digest. The microbes in BT200™ love mineral spirits like candy, so when you apply BT200™ to the surface after mineral spirits, the microbes just eat the spirits right up before they start on the stain. This is a unique way to use an inexpensive solvent in a safe way, to help you clean up the stain without adding to the pollution problem - because the BT200™ ‘eats’ the mineral spirits first, there is no residual to deal with. Mineral spirits will also soften gum, making it easier to remove and then the BT200™ will work on the stain left behind. As always, recover your fluids and put them down a sanitary drain and the BT200™ will continue to clean the hydrocarbons it encounters all the way to the water treatment plant

The pictures were takin before BT200 was applied. The product is on the stain, and will sit overnight.

Check here tomorrow for the results.

I have a Bt200 on the way I think

Tried the sample Doug sent me of the EATOILS™ BT200™ Tuesday. Stuff exceeded my expectations. almost 10,000 square foot of pavers and set stone, dozens of oil stains from contractors truck that have been parking there over the past year to perform the $300,000 remodel and addition.

Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Not one to rave about new products, but my experience with the EATOILS™ BT200™ was amazing, and I highly recommend the product.

Good talking to you today Doug. Heck of a nice guy and really stands behind his product.
Pics will be up tomorrow.
There is also a review over on powerwashnetwork that Jim C. from Grime Busters posted. Check it out!

Good Talking to you to Chris. Thanks for following up on the sample. Call me anytime you have questions.

Thanks Jim. Anxious to see how your second test goes.

I used some Bt200 on a wood play set that is moldy. I poured it on straight and did not pressure wash it and I can see a difference where it ate the mold. I am now testing it with diluted ratio's. Has any one tried to downstream this stuff yet? I would think the Florida mold would laugh at this stuff. Tomorrow I will be testing it on a oil spot at a fast food restaurant.

If you down stream it you have to dilute at a very high ratio. I use my xjet and clean houses everyday with it at 5 ounces per gallon of water. I apply it with the xjet wait 10 minutes, apply again, wait 10-20 minutes then rinse. After rinsing I then apply againa and leave it, no rinse. It kills the Mold and Mildew. Houses stay cleaner longer. Great for brick houses, really does a great job of cleaning the pores and grout.

Yes, you do. I shipped it Monday along with about 10 others. Have heard from most that they got there's yesterday. Hopefully today you'll get it.

Doug,
Thanks I did receive mine and will be testing this week.

Question: Does it matter what temerature I use this in. Its getting cooler here in NJ now Just around 32deg at night.

Great slideshow Jim!

Is that the only product you used on the pavers?

I'm using my sample to test a area where 3 different types of butyl degreaser haven't work well at all. I have a case of butyl degreaser waiting at my chemical place waiting to be picked up. If BT200 performs better then I will just order a 5er and forget about the butyl degreaser.

Where are the after pictures?

James, yes it does matter. The bacteria will take longer to work in 32 degree weather, or below 40, however it will work, but just take a little longer. Best thing to do if you can, is to put it down during the day and let it work while it's a little warmer, then go back at night and clean. I realize that may not be possible due to job costs and man power. Best thing to do is to try a test at those temps and see if your happy with the results. Your test area does not have to be big. My demos are no larger than a sqaure foot in size, and usually take less than a ounce to do. Majority are no large than the size of a silver dollar.

Hope this helps, and glad you got your sample.
