My First Video

Hello everyone, this is my first attempt making a video. It is a little rough, and some of the pics are not that great, but I just wanted to wet my feet a little. Starting this coming year, I hope to grow, and I'm sure I will. I appreciate all the advice from everyone and the knowledge shared on this board. God Bless and Happy Veterans day to all soldiers past and present, you are what made and still make this country great, and I thank you! I hope you enjoy.

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know how to embed vids, I thought I did. Here's the link.

Looks good bro good luck.

Not sure what you are looking to accomplish with the video, but your video is too long. No customer is going to sit through a slide show of pics. If you are using it as a marketing tool, then make it 30 seconds, talk about your service, how you can add value to you potential customers property, perhaps a call to action, limited time offer.

Also, the music is cool, but Grandpa Jones Homeowner is not going to dig it as much....I would go with something a little more vanilla.

You have a ton of amazing before and after pics and those can be put to good use in other marketing as well.

Not being negative, just trying to help. I am no expert on this topic but have made a few videos and have been critiqued as well, I take that knowledge and try to implement it to help row my biz. Good Luck.

Thanks Mike, my neighbor told me the same thing about the music. In all honesty, I'm not sure what I want to use the video for, I just starting messing around with the pics last night. I appreciate the advice, and this is the main reason I put in on here. I'll definately take what you said into consideration, and use it to market here in the next month or so.

Thanks again,

Listen to mike. He's being humble. His videos are awesome. Shorten it up, put a voice behind it and lose the transition graphics. Great pictures. I'll be in spring for a big Job tomorrow.

Thanks Scott, I appreciate the input. Good luck tomorrow.

Ditto on the music...

Also, you can shorten the video alot just by shortening how long each pic stays up on the screen for. A customer really only need a sec or two to look at each pic.

Also check this place out: http://animoto.com you can create videos that look like you paid a tv commercial producer thousands of dollars to create. They have a free version but I think to take their name (animoto) out of the end of the video you have to pay. They have some sample videos here http://animoto.com/showcase and four of them are geared towared businesses. Take a look at those to get some ideas and add your own music and your vidoes will look will look amazing.

good luck
