Milwaukee 2day Educational Seminar

Just had dinner with Paul K.

Hanged out at his shop today and helped a little bit.

I don't have a car but also not too sleepy yet, might go next door to Kopp's for some of that good frozen custard.

Having a great time here in Milwaukee!

Today was the first day of the event and heard some great speakers.

We got to see the 40" vacuum surface cleaner from Sirocco that was attached to a riding mower and it cleaned good.

We got to see the differences in 2 different brands of 21" vacuum surface cleaners and how good they cleaned and pulled up the wash water.

We got to see how good the other vacuum recovery attachments worked and how to use them, they sure pulled up the wash water good.

Paul showed some new technology that filters water to 10 microns at a good pace and is very cost effective.

Got to meet some great people and see some that I have not seen in years.

Jerry gave a lot of great info in his speech on Wash Water Control and discussed equipment and answered a lot of questions and talked about some new technology that is out there that works with not only petroleum hydrocarbons but also just about any type of oil/grease that is in wash water like from Restaurants and/or grease traps and dumpster areas. The best part of this is that when you are done using it, you can incinerate it or put it into dumpsters as it is no longer considered hazardous waste. This looks very promising!

Mike H. gave a short but good speech on the PWNA.

The event is going great, I am glad that I made the trip.

Had a great time at the seminar. Lots of great information was shared. The stuff I learned the last two days was amazing. Thanks to Paul for being our host, and to Jerry for the reclaim presentation. Ron it was great to meet you and thanks for sharing your great knowledge with us. I'd also like to thank Steve from Carolina Cleaners for the valuable info he gave (I definately picked a great table to sit at). The only bad thing about the seminar is that it had to end.

Thanks Paul!

It was a great event and we got to learn a lot of great things.

There were great speakers and we had some interesting conversations about the CWA and what happened in Houston let others know how it really is there and how the enforcing is going on, people that don't live in Houston or have close friends that work there really don't know how bad it is there trying to pressure wash as a business. Things really need to change but in the right ways, by the right people and need to be set in manners that will work both for contractors and for the environment.

I am glad that I was there or I would not have believed what I heard, witnessed the contradictions by people in the same department and how other departments contradict each other, it really is a very bad mess.

We got to see and try out some of the newest technology in vacuum systems, wash water control, reclaim/recovery, dealing with oil/grease, etc......Jerry has some great new technology that will be out soon that will help even more contractors work faster, be environmentally compliant and make more money.

Ron gave a great speech about how to get work from property managers and others out there that are hard to connect with and how to do it the right way.

I hope I can make it again when Paul has another great event.

Thanks again Paul!
