Where do I even start? I'll try to compress this so it doesn't read like a Golden Globe Award Ceremony Acceptance Speech.
I was first introduced to the BB's by a local competitor whom I believe most of you know. Joe from Amen PW'ing. He was the first one who encouraged me to join in over at PTS. From there I met a bunch of great people and realized this wasn't just a bunch of flaky guys on a chat board shooting the breeze about how their day went.
Eventually I became friends with someone who insisted that I join up here on PWI. That man is Chris Tucker. At the time, my business was failing so bad that I was ready to pull out. Paper ads were not working, call backs were slumping and my web site was somewhere on page 4 or 5 of the search results. Somehow he managed to get me motivated enough to redo my web site, make a video and taught me a lot about seo. Thank You Chris Tucker...
Eventually I got up the nerve to drive alone to my first RT in Alabama. Scared out of my wits because I thought Russ Spence didn't like me, I somehow avoided making a U Turn at every off ramp and finally made it there. This was the best business decision I ever made. Meeting many of you contractors in person gave me a renewed hope that has lasted throughout these past couple of years and a few things happened that weekend. I learned that I was not alone in my struggle to keep a business going, I found out many new ways to help achieve my goals, and I found out that Russ Spence didn't hate me after all. LOL...
I could go on and on but about all the support and friendships I've made here and the people who have helped me, but that would mean nothing without names. So,
To:
Chris Tucker: Thanks for pushing me.
Nick "The Cleaner" Thanks for always being there when I needed you and thanks for being a friend.
Kory: Thank you for sharing some valuable information with me, networking with me and also for being such a great friend.
Jeff (The Condo King): Thanks for all your help and support. Whether you know it or not, your information on closing bigger apt, condo and town home deals has helped me tremendously.
Ken Fenner: Yes, even Ken, who I don't always agree with helped me realize that I needed to run a business and start charging customers as such. With some of his valuable information I've actually been able to work less and make more.
These are just a few of you. There are many, many others, who's knowledge and posts have made a huge impact on not only my business but my life as a whole. The friendships, the comradery and the brotherhood of this BB has made PWI what it is today, a family, And for that, I would like to thank non other than the man himself who started it all. Ron Musgraves...
Thank You Ron for this BB and most of all, Thank you for your friendship.
God willing, I hope to gain more knowledge and enjoy many more years here at PWI with all of you.
