I just picked up a new account, the concrete ranges in age from 15 years to 1 year old. The GM is anal about the oil stains (dark shadows from the oil) that have been there for years.
It finally got warm enough to do some flat work so I went and done a couple. I had already warned him we probably couldn't get the stains up in one cleaning for the price I quoted, that it would be a gradual process. (if they ever came up) I was at Lowes earlier that day to pick up some Mur acid just in case, In the same aisle was the paint thinners and such, I always always heard that Acetone, would remove grease and oil but never tried it. And I still haven't, but I did buy something else. The last drive thru I cleaned that night I got it out of the truck and just poured a little on the stain and walked back to the truck set the can down started my machine, by the time I got back to the concrete the stain was gone! I could even see where the stuff "splattered" cause those spots were clean. The kicker is it was raining so the strength of this stuff was cut. I need to try it a couple more times and try it on "dry" concrete before I say what it is. some of you might already know what it is. I just need to make sure it safe, and my eyes wasn't messing with me.
If it does what I think saw it will be a answered prayer and I will totally change the way I market flat work. I will keep you guys posted. I didn't have my camera but i will the next time I use it. I will keep you guys posted!

Great info Daniel, keep us posted on your results.

Be carefull testing new stuff out in wide open areas, I'd hate to go back to the spot where an oil stain was & find a pot hole or something else crazy. STRONG stuff if it did that while raining. If I were to guess, coming from the from that section in Lowes, I'd say Zylene or laquer thinner to break down oil-based paints. Keep us posted & eyes protected with that stuff!

i have a couple to clean next week (but suppose to snow Mon - Wed) I promise to post pics and say what it is if the results are the same and it doesn't harm anything

Did you presoak it with water? That could have had an effect on it.

Why would you even post something as childish as that? You tell us you went to Lowes.ooohhhh.You tell us what isle you went to. You almost spell what you were looking for. You did spell what you heard would work. But you won't tell what you bought that pleased you. You're too damn selfesh to share that?
How about this.Don't keep us informed. Let it be your little secret and we will continue to use products thant are usually bought in 50# bags and not from Lowes.
Maybe your GI Joe men were calling you to come play.

What are you using on the oil stains. Are u going to tell us

The G.I. Joe comment was harsh!

even if it did not work at this point you should tell so we don't buy it next time we see some at Lowes in hopes of it working.
