Delux New Catalog!!

Is this the trend in going to "virtual catalogs"?
I find this and the espec catalog hard to read since it is set up like a "snapshot" of the real catalog. (just trying to gove constructive critisisim)
 
Get the hard copy. It is a simple read, and high quality.

I think they have a all New Site coming that will look great, Great pricing on this site also.

Like many distributors have gone to brick store pricing and online pricing.
 
New Catalog

Thank you all for the feedback. It shouldn't be hard to read the online catalog at all. What browser are you using? What platform are you using (apple/MAC)? I have been told that you can change the view features on your monitor for small words, but I am not sure how to do this with all the different monitors out there these days.

What is good is that if you order online through our online store, you can get product at a DISCOUNT! this is good for all of us trying to cut costs.

It is hard to read. Windows XP. Your format is not set up to look at specific items there needs to be a table of contents to click on what I am looking for on the first page not links to look at facebook twitter and linked in. All the new products shoud be back linked so that if you see something you like you click on it and it goes to it.

Example: you show hood filters on the front page as new. I want to compare your price to anothers yet to do that or even see it I then have to go up to the top bar type in hood filter let the page search for it then it shows me all the hood filters and I then have to find it anyway.

Ok, I think the confusion is this is not and online publication. Maybe next time they will think about that and link the PDF and make hyper links to products.

Greg is showing us the new delux catalog that gets deliver USPS. Now they we are all talking same page shoot Greg your mailing address and they will shoot you and old fashion catalog.

This is somewhat like us sending out mail to prospects or current customer base. Not all read or bother with web. Having a mailing campaign is good.

I used it because I like reading hard copies. I find myself printing stuff from computer and reading it later often. Just a prefference I guess, some only want emails and websites. Great thing is delux has that also. Maybe that advertised on front page so all can see your are getting more web friendly as days pass.
 
The new catalog looks great! I like having the ability to use both virtual and hard copies. Sometimes companies develop these online catalogs and "over think it" they become extremely hard to use and navigate through. Plus I think we can all agree it's nice to read something in the bathroom. What's better than picking out new gear while in the privacy of your own bathroom!

I agree with that bathroom part. That was actually the demise of the e-spec catalog at the house. My wife picked it up and saw a picture of some 3 legged dog and said ewww kids aren't going to see that and file 13 it went...

if that is the online catalog they need to link it with a ordering/ indexing format. If all the version we are looking at is a simple copy then I understand not putting the effort to make it more user friendly.

I agree that it is great when it can accompany you in the bathroom, but lets not start using it if you happen to run out of toilet paper while you are in there.........lol.
