Portable foamer...

You could get two Lafferty airless foamers for the $$$ of one foam-it 5.

Or buy one Airless and step up from Dawn has a surfactant, the stuff we use only take 4oz per 5'r to create shaving cream foam. It will stand for 30min+ if I desire.
We needn't deal with air lines, lengths of foamer line (that must be rinsed after each use) with the airless I use much more surfactant by comparison but speed of application makes this unit my our favorite we are very satisfied with the results. your mix will make all the difference, I can't help you there, sorry but I must insist find mix/mixes that work for you! Along the you'll learn to respect the mix and how it will work for you.

With all foamer setups from Foam-it 5's to Gp5000's or Foam cannons, Pumpup's , downstreamers ....they must all be rinsed? This is vital for longevity of the units but more so for the safety of it's use. With that in mind it is very easy and painless to neutralize equipment, get in the habit of doing so.

And remember when tuning in your foamer it will do you no good to do it useless your tuning it LIVE! Meaning simply if your trying to abtain a certain foamage, and you testing with only the surfactant it will not produce for you once you add the cleaning agent. If tested using XPOTASH + Xsurfact then do the same in it's use. If you don't there will be a change.

Inspect equipment prior, during and after...just saying.:victory:

Which airless are you referring to Lou? How much hose do you use with it? I'm intreaged...

I'd recommend an AR-20.

Is this a Lafferty airless foamer? Looks like it works much like an X-jet...

Isn't the X-jet to a foam injector has a Foam-it 5 is to a GP500?

I just got the foam it 5 for a real good deal. Its a cool toy that will take some dialing in I'm sure. I only have info that I got online on it so I'll have to figure it out and see if my SH, dawn and water works? You have some good insite Lou, thanks.

The foamit 5 has some internal parts made of plastic that will fail with what KEC demands of it.

I'll search for my pics

We abused the hell out of ours for 2.5 years and it was still running good the day I sold it. In all honesty the diffrence between how much better what people have done on thier own and what is commercially available as far as foamers is simply staggering.
The foam producing manufacurers are taking products made for FDA cleaning and modifying them to work for KEC or pressure washing while the KEC guys are making real machines made to work in our line of work that are far better at what we do.

+1 "KEC guys are making real machines made to work in our line of work that are far better at what we do." Too bad some of the simplest solutions can be so elusive at times.

Buy the foam on 5! I still have my first one from about five years ago. The internal pump leaks and the regulator occasionally leaks out of its blow off valve, but it still operates when we need it to. The only real casualty was the bucket unscrewed while being carried up the ladder. We just set it on top of a new bucket (not actually attached). I've thought about reinstalling the guts in a smaller packing that would fit on a 2-3 gallon pump up sprayer can w/ strap to trow over the shoulder!
Anyone know how much they cost now?
I'm pretty sure the foam5 units are over 6 bills don't forget your going to need a compressor to push it and the foam5 unit is an air hog.

WOW did you guys see the 10gal foamer for 1300 bucks...they are proud of that thing. And as they should be I see at least $40 in parts. :yikes:

foamit and greasefoam are owned by the same people i think. i noticed that the contact names are adam jaques on 1 site and dan jaques on a nother site. both are in grand rapids mich. sanitationtools is also in mich. looks like they are cornering the market on the foamers,..i just want some twinline hose to mount my p.o.s. f5 it the trailer. so i will quit dropping it off of metal pitched roofs.

I called foam-it about a week ago to find out info on the fi-5 and i think i talked to Dan. He said he only sold to distributors and gave me Adams phone number to call. I talked to Adam for quite a while and he was pretty helpful. Thats how I found the greasefoam web site. I ended up bumping into the opportunity to buy an almost new fi-5 and the key chain compressor for less then half price in the bay area. so thats what I did. Now I may be looking at bit bigger compressor to throw at it.

Wonder if the foam-5 would push the foaming spinner.

Anyone ever seen a part like this before? (the plastic spinner)

That spinner doesn't actually spin but it looks like it could be very effective for getting chems down round ducts and horizontals. They have a couple YouTube videos on it. My pump sprayer is only getting my Chems so far in there.
