Hello All!

Long term reader, first time poster. I very much do appreciate this forum and all the insight it gives the rest of us.

I am looking at the bidslot program. For those who are unfamiliar with it, they cold call for you, and you pay per bid that they get you.

I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with this and could share your average close rate on appointments, and your ROI.

The program looks pretty neat. Would just like to hear from the people that have actually done it!

Regards,
Brad.

Josh and his wife founded Bidslot.

Josh is a great greaser and a great person. The integrity in that company is beyond reproach.

Thanks for your response. That is one of my hang ups because I do not do hoods. Mostly flat work is what I am looking for.

Brad - Please go add a proper signature.....rules of the board :)

Aside from that - welcome to PWI and in answer to your question, it can't possibly hurt to explore options for marketing your company - you just have to know what your expectations are.

I have been trying them and they are definitely a professional and pleasant company to deal with. If you decide to use them be sure to be specific on the areas you are approaching. My first set of bids were in the 'hood'. Not their fault I did not give them an area I was looking for, I just said Milwaukee (oops). Once I picked the areas I was looking for I was pleased with the results they have been generating.

I used them back when they were first getting started. You have to be specific on what your target is. I was getting appointments at resturants in strip centers for flat work, well those are handled by a property management company not the local manager. So Bidslot needs to know that you want only places with managers that have the final decision. Once they got that worked out it was a good deal.

Thanks for all replies. (This is also a test to make sure my signature shows up this time. Very sorry!)

I am not a fan of cold calling. I do enjoy speaking with customers and closing the sale, it is just something about the introduction I don't like.

For those of you who have tried it....what do you think your close rate is on bids?

I absolutely hate cold calling, which is why my wife started doing it for me back in 2003. The program is modeled after our marketing program for my hood cleaning company. It has worked well for many people. The program has been adjusted to fit into any type of cleaning or service based business looking for commercial work. Windows, flat work, fleet work, hood cleaners, filter exchange, etc. If you have a unique business then a program can be designed specifically for your special needs. April is great at what she does, give her a call you will hear for yourself how special she and BidSlot really is.

Given that I don't have water reclaim and don't do hoods, what commercial contracts would you guys suggest I go after? I have always liked flatwork but am unsure about getting contracts quarterly for this.

Thanks,
Brad.

I've been using Bid-Slot for a little over a month now for flat work , and have been quite pleased, April is awsome and they really work with you to get you in the door, I havent sold to every lead but have gotten more work this way than any other method I have tried, and sales is definatly my weak point!!! Give them a try for sure
