Powdered Bleach Review Roof Cleaning Products

I would have thought that with all of the R & D that went into this and the testing and previous usage that contractors were being offered a tried and true product. I am saddened to hear of the problems with the new product and hopefully the issues can be resolved. Nothing worse than expecting one thing and getting another.
Bravo for the customer service that was given to the op.

Is this why we haven't seen demo's of the actual chemical in use at round tables before now IE Charleston.

We all knew what a delevan sprayed like but we all wanted to see the chemicals in use. We did get to see the chemicals in use however it took some agitation and pouring powder onto the concrete to get some mildew off.

Snake charmers are just waiting on getting bitten. I hope this all is resolved and a simple fix like the blending source used something other than what was supposed to be used

You can put wings on a Turtle, but it's still a Turtle. This is what Calcium Hypochlorite does to a surface, and it is why it is not a good choice for cleaning roofs. It is also not such a 'good idea' to carry some around in your truck, just 'in case' you need some extra kick. It is a powerful oxidizer, and if some brake fluid gets on it, look out!
And, if you do carry some around in your Truck, and a can of leaking brake fluid contacts it, for God's sake, do NOT Spit out the window, LOL
Enjoy the video.

Jeff,

I did have a conversation with Doug about the chalking and hazing the night before he used the product. The product has use instructions on the label. We are investigating why this product has such a residue. It was not supposed to. (Delux is working with the supplier right now to see what can be adjusted.)

The green wash does help with the hazing and I have had little issue since I have used the product more and more and grow accustomed to it over SH.

Delux, The Hinderliters and Myself strive to do things with excellence. We are striving to give Doug the best service as he deserves. Mike will report back to me his findings when he gets down to Houston and remedies the issues.

Jeff, I have noticed that you have been on board and really as hopeful as we on the success of all of this. We will get the bugs worked out and I am hoping you above all else will benefit from the resulting successes.

Thanks!

AC

You told me and I quote, "we have had an occasional instance where some white haze will appear on a small area that was heave with algae, but it is nothing that a good rain or two won't take care of" the white haze apeared on nearly 98% of the roof.

The use instructions say NOTHING about hazing that will appear.

Michael Hinderliter arrived at my house today at about 1pm. We were on the job site by 2pm and by 7:30 Michael had completely restored the roof and completely removed the haze left by the Powdered Bleach Solution.

I explained to Mike that I purchased the Powdered Bleach solely because of Delux’s involvement and backing. My purchasing it had really had nothing to do with A.C.

I never purchase a product because of the “pitchman”, but the company that is behind it.

I can’t thank Michael and Delux Cleaning Supply enough for standing behind their product and the Customer Service that they showed me today. It was great to meet Michael in person and spend some time with him.

You’ll be happy to know that Michael accepted FULL RESPONSIBILITY for this problem and let me know that he has pulled the product and will no longer sell it until he is fully satisfied that this problem will never happen again. He also assured me that he will personally test the next product, if and when that happens, personally and more extensively himself many times and on many different surfaces.

He is also issuing me a FULL REFUND as well as anyone else that has purchased the product.

I would like to thank all of you for your support today and last night. Scott Davis from Confident Roof Cleaning stopped by the job site to offer assistance as did Chris Harwell from Roof Restore. I also talked to many people last night and today by phone including Larry Millette, Ron Musgraves, Chris Tucker, Danny Bates, and some others. In fact, it was Danny Bates who called me last night and told me, ‘don’t worry, Michael Hinderliter WILL take care of this problem,” and that helped to set my mind at ease a little bit last night.

To me this issue is over and I am completely satisfied with the end result. Time to get back to making some cash.
Thanks Again Everyone.

Glad to hear it all worked out. Did you get the lingering algae stains off too or do you meed me to come by tomorrow with the service truck? Sorry i couldn't be more help while I was there. The good news is that I closed both estimates in kingwood for a total of $2600. Talk about a commission if you had sold those for me!!! LOL

That would be a question for Delux.

I figured it would be some BS. I asked AC on the other post about the haze and he didnt answer it. Said ask delux....I thought it was his product that he used to cleaned so many roofs with....

LOL, yeah, right. The garbage cans were "heavy with algae" and it took Micheal Hinderliter and half of Texas nearly 5 hours to get that chit off of everything. So much for a "good rain or two" huh ?

Doug it's good to know that Michael handled your situation with due diligence. Now the real problem for him is a product that can't be sold that will cost him thousands of $$$ in refunds.
It's really disgusting that so many bought the snake oil and the only one making any money from it is the snake oil salesman.

Heck, we all knew Deluxe would stand behind it, rain or shine. Perhaps he can make a deal to sell it on Craigslist or Ebay this summer for Swimming Pools by switching labels ?

Scott, No we did not get the lingering stains off, but Michael was able to get some of it out. I have an estimate in Sugar Land this morning, and then I am planning to head out there and check on the roof again this morning. I'll just hit with some 6% and it should take care of it. Appreciate your offer and all the help. Yeah the Kingwood estimates is really Great news, sounds like good sized roofs.

good job delux! your customer service speaks for itself!

Doug, I am sorry to hear about this. Man I would have been freaking out. I am very surprised and pleased to see that Mike came down to fix it. That means a lot!! Of course not having this problem in the first place..... at least they fixed it.

Glad to hear that the issue was resolved. Speaks of those standing behind the product. The only issue I have it that the pitch of this was way off base and it appears that there are inconsistencies with the "this was the system used to make millions in florida" and the products output. Delux and Mike H. get a thumbs up for how they handled this. Hope that people learn a lesson from this.....

Looks like Delux is reputable.
I assume they are smart enough to have nothing more to do with AC?
I love trying everything new that comes along, but I never felt AC was a trustworthy person, so I waited it out.
I'm sure glad I did!
I'm sure Delux wishes they had never heard of AC, just as most of the RCIA members feel now.
Guys like AC will be selling another snake oil, or a modified version of this one soon enough-I'm sure!
This is the quietest I've seen AC in a long time!
What a relief! :)
Hey Chris, I like that hot video you posted!!! :)
