Roof Cleaning SEO help

SEO is like a tripod, concentrate on only one leg, and the tripod will collapse.
Blogging, posting on these forums, adding links, all are a part of the SEO Puzzle.
As far as these forums go, it is a very good idea to post on all of them. RCIA, UAMCC, PWI, TGS, Cleaning Talk, WCR, PT State
Just 2 to 3 posts on all the forums a month will do wonders for your SEO, vs making all your posts on only one forum.
Posting on relevant DO FOLLOW Blogs and Forums also helps greatly.
RCIA is a Do Follow Forum, and so is UAMCC, since I told Russ it originally was NOT, and they fixed it.
DO FOLLOW means that the forum or blog is enabled so Google can follow and crawl the links.
I think PWI is also a DO FOLLOW Forum ?

Chris, how can you tell if a forum is not a DO FOLLOW Forum?

Rob gets hire off this on all the time, if you look its a clean Promo Blog.

If the customer types in "roof-cleaning-cedar-shake-iowa" then he would probably rank number 1.

However....that's just the magic of selective keyword rank checking. The reality is that people don't search with that many keywords and dashes. People are now pretty savvy now, they search with the fewest and most descriptive words possible. I'd wager the search "roof cleaning cityname" is much more popular than "roof cleaning iowa" however, looking at that search term.....it pulls three hits for your board, none were the link you posted and all were 404 not found.

Larry's got it all covered so I guess I will go out on the boat...lol

If you do a national search with a proxy server for just "roof cleaning", the top 5 contractor run websites, including myself, all have one thing in common, they all post, or posted a lot, on the RCIA Forum.
Of course, they also post elsewhere too. This shows the power of these Cleaning Forums in getting websites found.

I'll agree with that chris

Absolutely, and we encourage all the RCIA guys to post on as many relevant cleaning forums as possible like here on PWI, and UAMCC Forum is also a very very good one too, since Russ made it a DO FOLLOW forum. Not only can our roof cleaners get good " SEO juice" here at PWI amd UAMCC, but this forum is also a great place for additional learning, and the chance to fellowship with fellow cleaners.
Since the Google Panda update, the SEO rules have changed Ronnie.
The old Pressure Washing Tampa link anchor text all of us once did in posts, as well as signatures is not a good idea anymore.
Google has really cracked down on what it now sees as deliberate attempts to manipulate search results!

If you are seeking link juice, you must be careful not to have the same keyword loaded anchor text links pointing at your website.
Believe it or not, a simple www.roofcleaningtampfl.com, in my case, or a simple click here to see our website with an active link, can be better then a keyword loaded link.

Us forum owners must act to prevent our forums as being seen by Google as one big Spam site. I have done my best to educate my roof cleaners to protect my forum, and I suggest that whoever is running PWI these days do the same. Once Google even thinks you are a spam factory, this forum can be screwed, seriously!

The game has changed, and content now RULES!
A forum owner must be very very careful allowing too many signature links these days Ronnie.
Think about it ? Sometimes the text in the signatures can easily exceed the text in a post!
This looks very very Spammy to Google.

At the RCIA Forum, I will never do aNYTHING TO HARM THE seo OF MY GUYS, EXCUSE these caPS (FAT FINGERS)
So, what we are doing is only allowing NEW members 2 signature links to combat this problem.

PWI is a great Forum, with many friends of mine on it. I have zillions of posts here, and I care about this place.
I want to see it do well. It only has page rank one, and that is a real shame. It is truly a monster forum, as far as traffic goes. It is my belief it can do better. The propowerwash URL it carries IMHO is not as good of an idea as a stand alone URL.
This is one reaSON it's page rank is so low. Unfortunately, Google sees it for what it currently is, and that is a part of Your own personal website.
Your website Ron is about cleaning sidewalks in Arizona. So every post here on PWI NOT related to cleaning sidewalks in arizona is a strike against your PWI page rank!

Yeah we are Bridging the OLD links here, they have already been indexed.

Google just did a Page Rank Update, and PWI went from a terrible page rank one, to page rank 2 !!!!!!!!!!
This is great news for PWI. Remember, the higher the page rank a site is, the more frequently it gets crawled!
RCIA stayed at page rank 3. It is far easier for a forum like RCIA dedicated to roof cleaning, or any niche forum to get high page rank, then it is for a multi purpose forum like PWI to get high page rank.
Congratulations !

Does this mean Shaye needs a Raise?

LOL, not so sure it is Shaye, more like Cullen. Cullen was over at RCIA before he came here. I like and respect Cullen very much, but what he does is in conflict with what we are doing at the RCIA Forum. He does a great job for Pressure Washing related stuff. But RCIA is a dedicated Roof Cleaning Forum. I had concerns that what he was trying to do, and is doing here for PWI, would effect our high page rank. RCIA is not a Pressure Washing Forum, nor do we have any intentions of becoming one.
It is my opinion that PWI can thank Cullen, and perhaps Shay, for the increase in page rank.

If you want to better your roof cleaning SEO post your site and Zip codes here.
