pics of Jon's rig

Jon,
You trailer is very impressive. The undermount RV water tank, chemical mix station, hose reels mounted on swing out axles, halogen work lights what more could anyone want! Extremely well thought out. Would I be correct in guessing that setup is 15-20K?

Hey Jon...

This newbie is quite impressed. When I first saw the pics of the entire rig, I fully expected to see a parade behind it..lol. Anyway, excellent job.

Question: Do you own a MIG/TIG or gas welding unit? I am thinking along the lines of either a bowtie tamdem setup w/cap(because of the ability to plow snow here in the northeast) or box-type truck, or cube van w/ trailer. I'm favoring the box truck, mainly because I wanna protect the equipment from the snow. Is it possable to setup a portable small ceremic heater inside the box truck, with an AC plug outlet on the outside of the truck, to keep the equipment from icing up, without the risk of a fire? I don't have the $$$ to keep it in a heated garage. What do you guys think about that? Inquiring minds wanna know...

PS-Bigboy, be nice to me..I'm a newbie-a fact that I'm very sensitive about..lol.

"I'm a newbie-a fact that I'm very sensitive "

I can respect that, wait until you slide that ring on dat finger then wanta know how to get dat ring out of ya nose cuzz thats a VERY Sensitive area for a henpick guy.

Besides I like picking on Luckyboy and his rig, cann't you just picture him driving down mainstreet pulling that junk behind him not counting the junk he is pulling it with.If I lived close to him I may just steal the rig and drive around town with dat same crapy looking grin.

David_T,

Bigboy gonna have more problems soon enough, his entire town, all 3 of them will be laughing when I not only tow my rig but his BOWTIE behind it down his main street!

As for him being nice to me, let's just say that those that know me can kid me and all others need not apply:D

David_T I guess you missed his rock garden when he posted a picture of it sometime ago, you see that and you will understand him better. Most people plant flowers and trees etc. but Bigboy plant rocks and waters them expecting to see baby rocks crawling out from underneath. Word has it the first rock he moved caused him to run home yelling SNAKE SNAKE.

No don't own any welding equipment but have given some thought to it lately.

Whatever you end up with one of the main things is be sure of GVW, both towing vehicle and towed. Go for tandem axle if you can, just remember they are not quite as easy to manuver.

I disagree........I think my tandem axle trailer is much steadier and more predictable then single axles I have driven in the past.

Mike I did not make myself clear on that remark sorry.

A tandem axle when being pulled is safer and easier to tow however when backing up AND turning at the same time it is not as easy.

The trick here is to have a longer tongue then the stock 4 foot one.

Better Mike?

Jon

Will I'll be would you look at dat, done went and bought a pretty wittle tent for his junk, looks like a side show with one side rolled up.Boy with a setup like dat around here the rednecks would camp across the street just to see what color pants came out the door to sale tickets for the side show.

When in doubt 2 axles are better than one when pulling a heavy load, one may buckle when jumping potholes.

Now now Bogboy we alwedy ceen your panties!

Reason I only put up the one side is the generators are there and don't want them getting all wet when (if ever) it rains.

I could put up both sides but why bother, also gives good air circulation during our hot summers.

sheeeeeeeeeeeee what he gonna flap his lap about next:rolleyes:

I was thinking you would consider that tent Hillbilly garage but nope me was wrong.

More like a family outhouse!

No, Jon..........I think a longer heavier trailer is easier to back up. Visability might not be as good, but I can put that thing wherever I want it.................every time. Just ask Shawn George. :)

A shorter, lighter trailer is a bit more skittish and difficult to back up accurately. (in my opinion)

JOn
Who bought your rig?

Jon is doing well. I received an email from him on Sunday. He is retired in Albuquerque, trying to sell books. Remy is doing well, too. I will see what I can do to get his newest phone number for you...

I called Jon the other day and no Answer, anyone heard from him or Remy

Hey Ronnie I still keep my tabs on friends when I can. Well maybe some aren't all my friends like I thought they were:blink: Jon was aces on these bb's back then. He just hit me up maybe a month or two ago on Linkedin and told me about his book business him and his lovely wife Remy are doing together these days New Mexico.

Follow him on this link and say hello to him also. He asked for a recommendation and for him I would bend backwards for because he has a heart of gold. So give him a shout out.

I read alot of old threads and often wonder where alot of these folks went. I guess things change.

Pop out a name that you may be wondering what the;ve been up to. Some have left the business for good and not so good reasons. Some have been in tremendous car accidents work related and some have been hit by drunk drivers where them and there spouse were killed Dan McGown alas McMoo comes to mind on that one.

Mike Hughes an adminstrator here and on a few other boards has been written about in the Cleaner Time Mag back in the day for gutter cleaning and also started his own Guttersource bb. He had high hopes. He also was a short time PWNA bb Board members. Mike was young and is still mid 30's at most and he has left the business years ago.

Pick someone and someone here most likely can tell you where there at. Many are still Powerwashing but they just left the bb's because they got burnt out by them. Many stories in this industry. Some great, some Not to good, some absolutely bad and some where people were fined or arrested.

Does the mob own Fleetwash...hmmmm I'll never tell:yikes:
