I accidentally ordered the wrong wand from Russ. http://www.shop.pressurewasherky.us/ST53-Dual-Lance-Wand-With-Knob-ST53.htm

It was not Russ's fault by any means because I ordered the wrong wand by mistake but I was wondering why anyone would want or need a wand with a small knob at the top of the wand to control the pressure? Maybe for hood cleaning...? Can someone explain the logic behind this type of wand? It seems completely pointless to me. In what application would I prefer reducing my pressure from the top and not having a grip on my wand?

Also, why would anyone want blue or black pressure wash hose when they have gray. Blue and black both can leave marks on the concrete but I have never seen any marks with my gray hose. Why do distributors sell things that don't make sense? Why would you ever sell black hose if there is gray?

WHY WHY WHY....? :speechless:

My blue hoses never leaves marks anywhere. I get the Goodyear 2 wire hose from Bob.

After I found my black hoses were leaving marks on white concrete I switched to blue from Bob too... Then I found that the blue will leave marks around the outsides of walls of stucco homes... so now I only use gray. I'm surprised more people don't notice the marks... Guess I'm all alone... haha

The dual lance wand lets you lower the pressure for many different applications where you can't use a lot of pressure, too many to mention here, could type for a very long time for the different applications I use it on and I mostly (like 90% of the time) use the dual lance wands because of all the areas where you can't use the full pressure from the pressure washer.

I have had 3 brands of gray hose leave marks on colored surfaces so the gray is not fool-proof.

I have had the blue hoses that did and did not leave marks besides the black hose that some did and some did not ever leave marks on surfaces where it accidentally rubs but hardly ever on concrete.

It's the one on the left. Knob on top, over / under barrels as opposed to the side handle, side by side barrels.

I prefer those over the side handle, but that is just me. Any more, I just use a standard single lance, and swap nozzles. It reduces the fatigue factor a bit, and I am lazy, when it comes down to it.
One of the reasons I like that form better is because I am a one handed guy. I do most of my pressure washing with one hand on the gun, and another on the hose. I even pull the trigger one handed. I do have to admit that it is a bit funny to watch other people without experience try to do it that way for the first few times.
