Popcorn Marketing, who has tried it?

1 out of every 277.

As for it being "littering", you'll have to check Your local rules but here as long as its on private property its not littering. Its how newspaper companies get away with it. I've had 6 complaints since September, which is less than I've had from door flyers.
Scott is that number with new media that AC and you came up with or was that with your old flyers and post cards.

No offense toward AC ,but since he asked who had tried I will share our experience.

We started this the week after the Tampa RT last year with 700 the first month then jumped another 800 the next month for a total for 1500.We followed up with door hangers and letters and got 1 phone call. That guy wanted to get only 1 side of the roof cleaned and was only willing to pay $50 for it.So we saw literally 0% ROI.
I will say this....... my market is super tough for both roof cleaning and housewashing and I have had other marketing fail just as miserably.

So are you saying that you knock on doors soliciting clients directly? How often would any of you recommend hitting the same area with marketing materials? I did 200 door hangers that I had sitting around today. I was considering doing a direct mailing to everyone in that neighborhood in three weeks.

Paul Harvey use to say you have to hit a potential customer three times from three different directions before you got their attention.
