worked on fresh stain

I got a little spray wild last week, and splattered on vinyl siding.
Only thing I had handy was rubbing alcohol. Did well.

Gasoline on vinyl works very well.I left this home for a week, had a few drops and had promised to give them a house wash.Poured some gas on a rag, stain gone.
Time before that i had much harder lesson.Left a lots of overspray overnight,it wouldnt com off with min spirits,i freaked out and bought MEK,stinks for a mile, but took it off.

Guys how about masonite siding, thats when i couldnt get it off with anything, didnt try mek so,had left the jug at home.

Yes, the gas looked harsh,Not saying that johny was wrong, but seemed harsh...Went with the simply green, Worked great... Thanks to all that applied...

Something else that works real good, is carpenters steel wool on small areas of stain on vinyl. The color on vinyl is through and through so scratching it out won't take the color away. I would do just small areas with the steel wool, but Na Hydrox stripper should work too.

Hey now,i never splashed gas on the house.I put a little on a cloth and rubbed the siding.Only reason i did that because stain had been sitting there for a week.Didnt rub entire siding, just a few spots.I had forged my MEK jug at home,so had to use what i had, worked just fine,AS far as fire marshal and EPA ,give me a break,i wasnt creating a dangerous situation or polluting, less than homeowners do when fill up their blower

Not near as harsh as Sod Hyd....Oxalic Acid...have used it on old dried sealer on vinyl, just spray on and walk away...sometimes may take an extra spray or two depending on how dry the sealer is (more than a couple of weeks) but it works and is safer than Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda)
Must put on with vinyl dry, no water (if using liquid)
If using dry oxalic..(ex.>ZUD) then water is neccessary

You can be VERY gentle and get it off...

Make a mixture of degreaser and water and throw some rags in it. (one w/ lid works best) Keep it with you. Tuck a rag in your pocket and wipe as you work. Makes cleanup a breeze, it's gentle, and won't harm the side of the house or any furniture.

In fact you can even wipe areas that you are concerned about before you begin to work and you'll find the sealer won't begin to dry.

We swear by it. All crews are trained to use it.
