Parking Garage- 6 Time A Year!

I finally picked up a regularly scheduled parking garage job (this isnt my first parking garage Ive been in). They want it cleaned every other month. It is under 500,000 sq.ft. and I do not have to reclaim. At that frequency and size, what price would you charge? And how would I go about getting more parking garage contracts?

If I am reading this correctly, you picked up a regularly scheduled parking garage but......without pricing it?

How do you get an account without pricing it?

Just wondering as here they want a price before it is awarded.

That is a hell of a selling job you did, getting the garage.......not only without pricing it but......not knowing how to price it, especially after you said you have already been in a parking garage before.

I think that if you are that good, then go for the gold.........$0.20 per square foot. There is a guy that does not post here anymore but he typically gets from $0.20 to $0.24 per sq.ft. so I think that maybe you don't have his many years experience but it looks like you are a good salesman and should have no problem demanding the $0.20 per sq.ft. for cleaning and no reclaim.

Don't let anyone here change your mind or try to manipulate you into thinking otherwise, show them how good you are and let us know how it goes.

Good Luck.

hahahaha

Haha yeah I wish I was that good of a saleman. The only guy on here that might be good would be Ron.
I was simply asking "what price would you charge". I ended up getting it for less than .10$ per sq.ft. I was just looking for some insite to make sure I wasnt making a mistake as I have never cleaned the same parking garage this frequently before.

As far as water reclamation goes, I am going to look into it. If they want that they will have to pay a premium. So far they seem like a great company to work for and have a great staff. I am very blessed to have picked up this account at a typically slower time of year.

just under $.10 & just under $500k sq ft every two months. So over or around a quarter of a millions dollars, Ya I would say thats a great company. I don't believe it, sounds like BS from the company

Whats is a typically slower time of the year if you are cleaning it every TWO months

You are Fla, something aint right

I agree with you Jeff, there was a typo in there. I think he meant to write "less than $.01 a square foot" instead of "$.10 a square foot".

How are those schools coming along Jason?

Nice call me if you need help or want to bounce some stuff off

This is a slower time of year for business in Fla?

You know its weird this year, usually July slows some, but we are booked solid, busiest July ever, probably the 6th or 7th busiest month ever for us. After the horrible cold winter we had its been a nice Spring and summer so far. I'm hoping for no slower time right up to Xmas. Might be wishful thinking.

Thats ok if your actually going to wash it every 60 days

I agree with you Ron. I wasn't picking on Jason I just wanted to make sure he actually meant $.10 a square foot. If he's getting a little less than $.10 a square foot for every 60 days then more power to him. I know of some parking garages around here that are getting cleaned for less than $.02 a square foot yearly. I'm almost sure the $.02 a square foot the contractor isn't reclaiming the water though.

Guys, you have got to read what I write and not what Jeff or anyone else writes. I am not getting and never said I was getting " right under .10$ per sq.ft. and right under 500,000 sq.ft. to clean" Jeff said that, not me. Unfortunately I cannot be any more specific because I may end up sharing proprietary information.

As for the time of year, yes it is a slower time of year right now. Am I the only one who thinks the months following the busiest time of year seam slower?

And as for the schools, I'm sure they will go great. At .05$ per sq.ft without gum removal isn't that bad. Especially if your getting about 5,000 sq.ft. done an hour.

Sorry just the way you wrote it. You asked for pricing and gave numbers so I assumed you gave ball park numbers that you got
