How much money can be made in pressure washing.

Good Luck

Hey Mike Good luck
with your business, that is my goal as well,

Keep me posted
Take Care

Rob Fitzgerald,

I want to say I agree with some of your statements about your get exactly what you put in.

I also believe we take risks in business. I myself take calculated gambles everyday. I use the word calculated because I believe I never gamble to ever put myself in a position that would make me be prey to my competition.

I own everything and continue to pay cash for all things I buy. I will not lease or borrow money for truck or equipment. My accountant advises me that I waist depreciation on my taxes and I tell him if things get tough the tax write offs not going to save me.

Sure over the years in the beginning I borrowed and leased my first piece or equipment. I actually rented until I had enough work to warrant buying my first machine. (Renting is a 100% deduction by the way.) I understand that people may need to borrow at first to get going.

I how ever think the real successful folks in this business do not borrow money after 3 to 5 years.

This statement was the only thing I disagree with and it’s small but hits me wrong. GET A SECOND MORTGAGE<<,,,,,,

I need to tell you I have never met a person that ever got one of these and was happy about it. Most people take unsecured dept and turn it into a house payment that’s secure and then end up filing Bankruptcy. I wouldn’t tell my best friend to get a second mortgage. Just file BK. I was lucky when I was younger and made the same mistakes we all do. I charge all the credit cards up and paid them off three times. Stupid I never filed BK. Fortunately I never got a second mortgage either. I can tell you in the last ten years by not using credit and paying cash my life and my business has done extremely better and I have more freedom. I also believe it makes me stronger and not weak. Debt is no good for any business, it strangles businesses.

This has nothing to do with Rob’s comments but I wanted to ad never take retirement money for credit cards either. Take retirement money and get rid of that darn second and never get another. Or refinance that second. DON’T GET A SECOND.

Sorry I have many friends that have come to me unhappy and ask me for money. I tell everyone I can not too do this, its bad.

I agree with Ron. I don't like debt. Pay it off and get rid of it. Sure in the short term you might get deductions, bug in the long term, your family will be far more secure.

7 figure incomes---
Fleetwash, Owned by Vito Somebody in New Jersey. Multiple states 600 units
Ducts Unlimited, Daryl Mirza, Illinois Venthoods 80 units
Propowerwash, Ron Musgrave, Arizona, Flatwork ( just Kidding)
Those are two that I am sure of, and I suspect many others. I did not say that there were a lot of them, just some.

Scott
Hey Scott you can rewrite the above to add someone else's name. Like yours for example.

I might fit in there...
Though we have spoke only once on the phone, I have read a ton of your posts and by reading those I believe you are a stand up guy and a leader by example. I may be a few years late but I want to congratulate you ( and the Misses ) on your successful ways and hope your business continues to flourishes in the future.

Anyone is welcome to call me anytime. I will talk when I am available. This industry has been very good to me and my family, and am happy to do what I can to help someone else live the dream.

Your prices looked great. Now the only thing you have to do is get a steady client base and daily customers. It's all about the marketing. Listen, I started Starbrite in May 2010, about three and a half years ago with one truck and a helper, cleaning windows and pressure washing, I have done over $900,000. already this year and hoping to bust the Million dollar mark within the next 60 days. Next year I will be on pace to do 1.5-2 mil. I have worked 7 days a week 13 hours a day, everyday! It cost me my marriage among other things but, this is what I wanted to do so I made it happen. Your success all depends on your drive and how bad you want it. Go out and make it happen is all you have to do. Oh, and if you want it bad enough, don't let anyone stand in your way and don't ever give up.

Of Course. In the interest of full disclosure, when my business grew so fast, we had to get financing on most of our trucks. I don't know of many people that could add 23 trucks to their business that could cash it out, especially when the vast majority were new. They will all be paid off by the end of 2014. Part of that is because we are on an accelerated payment, where possible, and part is because we will have paid the leases off, and with a $1 buyout at the end, it will be done.
My personal stuff is all paid off, and bridge financing or lines of credit are paid off and unused.
