Spending some time with Pat and Shelia Clark with Precision Pro Wash in Greenville, South Carolina this week. Pat is in the middle of a huge hotel cleaning. Here are a few pix of the project.....and yes that is a 210 foot crane!

We are hoping to have a meet and greet this Thursday eve before I head for Dallas for anyone who is within driving range who wants to talk soft washing and or business. We will be meeting at the Red Robin at 7:00 pm Thr night.

This is my second trip to help Pat with his business doing one of my 4 day Wilderness Excursions. We are bringing online some new ProBizGuide systems to help Pat guide his businesses sudden growth.

Pat will prob get in here and post some pix as well.

Thanks,

AC

I have not used a crane that tall yet....but want to soon when I get a taller building to wash.

Some of those pictures would be great for marketing tall building washing.

Put the wand down and Join the PBR you should be riding bulls if you will get that high in the air omg thats crazy.I would faint getting that high in the air.

You know, I don't think that I would have a problem in a basket off of a lift, but in a swing basket, the pucker factor goes WAY up!

How much was that Crane Pat, that was a semi tractor hauling it. HOLY cow!!

I got a deal...and it was STILL 10K!

Next time you should look into swing staging its about $1200, plus all the extras tops $2000 and thats for up to 30 day rental. It can be rigged from just about any roof. They can even set it up for you the first drop. But if you never set it up before or know rigging a crane might be the only way. Swing is a lot cheaper. I did bid one job to use a crane, it was impossible to rig a swing and a bosoms chair wouldnt have worked on some parts of the building. Crane prices just add to much to most wash jobs

Does every building have the ability to use a stage?

Pucker factor ... LOL

Those spider baskets are scary, I have seen them in action. But honestly that high in the air anything is scary.

Pat I am proud to know you and to see that you were able to make this work through all the BS ! Excellent Job Brother!

I could say yes, because just about anything can be rigged if you want to spend the money. I looked at one almost impossible building to be rigged. Yes it could be rigged but it would of cost 10's of thousands of dollars and be so labor intensive it wasnt worth it it was later done with a crane and swing staging in areas and one side wasnt done at all

A lot of building in the past and most now are built with built in anchor systems, I am talking mid rise and smaller high rises that I have seen. The anchors allow you to rig and be secured to the anchors. Myrtle Beach 95% of the buildings I have looked at and 100% I have done have NO anchors built in. We either anchor tie off to other other secure parts on roof area or many times use counterweight systems

Then of course you have buildings that are set up from the build for swing stage and also you have some automatic systems I have seen one I think it was a building in Chicago that it was totally automated. It was cool.

Then of course you have the crazy window washing guys that will hang a chair and get just about anything from it. I use to love watching the window washing guys in Boston

I am curious what the flaws are. I see some pictures where the building was in process, but the completed pictures look great to me.

There several areas were you can still see black stains & streaks but it happens to us too. I actually write it up on dryvit stucco and concrete type buildings, that all stains may not come off all the way. Unless they want to pay restoration prices. Most dont want to pay the extra and most see that 90% or more of the stains and streaks are gone and are happy with the finished product. Totally restoration isnt needed if they maintain yearly but some of those stains I am seeing in the pictures have been there a few years or more

Its all what their expectations are and it 's where you explain what they get for this price or what they get for the higher price. Do they want a basic wash or restoration, I bet they paid for a basic wash and I am sure Pat put a little extra into cleaning many of those stains, some were on the extreme level

I never promise miracles when properties don't do regular maintenance washing. Most Dryvit Stucco warrenties actually say it should be washed EVERY 6 months, at least on many warrenties I have seen of high rise hotel and condo towers here at the beach
