New Commercial Setup

This is my first setup of this caliber. 8gpms at 3500 psi. The burner was purchased from Bob @ PT. I believe the cold water skid is a B&E that I bought from my local guy. I'll be using a 275 gal. tote. How do i fIgure out what is the discharge of the generating system. Bob said it was either 3 amps or 20 amps. I will be using the same battery for the burner so knowing this is crucial. Any help would be appriciated.

You'll have to check the S/N of the motor. Should be on the right side lower part of engine block somewhere under the key switch. Go to Honda website and cross check info.

Thats a cool looking pump, I assume those valves allow you to operate two hoses at 4gpm or 1 at 8?

I don't see an external regulator on the engine. a 20 amp would have one. It'd be about 3" X 5" and have cooling fins on it. It would be attached to the engine with a 5 prong plug coming out of the control box.

UUUuuuMmmm or you can do that. May want to reposition your muffler exhaust, seems to be aimed at your burner motor.

I hope you will not ever travel with the tote full of water, you will overload the axle and bend it.

That axle is probably a 3000 or 3500 pound axle but you have to remember that your trailer weighs from 500 to maybe 700 pounds. Then add your pressure washer, the burner, hoses, reels and everything else that is on the trailer then the tank full of water.

That small of a trailer with a tote on it will also be top-heavy if you drive with the tote full of water meaning that it will be very easy for the trailer to flip over when turning corners a little on the fast side.

Now you need to look for someone who does allot of ice dam work to let you come out and show you the ropes.

Just another tit bit of information get a big truck type battery so you will have plenty of juice and that will keep a 12v burner happy and well for a long time.1000 cold cranking amps is good.

Cant tell from the angle of the pic, but sliding the whole burner back a few inches and we'll be plenty clear of the exhaust. We mostly clean roofs and residential wash with truck mounted 4 gpm units. This is for the 5 or 6 homeruns we get that calls for the big toys. That tote will be pretty much empty during transport. I actually may never use it cuz I just love the way stuff looks when its brandy new

Nice rig Ed. That unit should have the 20 amp system on it, it looks like the wires for the regulator go back by the pump where they may have remote mounted it under the frame. I have seen many Honda units like that (older style) not the new ones though.

Ed, here's what to look for. Find the regulator / rectifier. It'll have either 3 or 6 wires on it. Here's a wiring diagram to help you.
