Me too! I am getting a 22hp with the gearbox and tsf2021 from russ and this thread helped me understand it all a bit better!

Nice! Been thinking about picking up a predator but I have a 18hp briggs already. With the tsf2021 and gearbox I am thinking about 8gpm at 2200-2500psi, correct me if I'm wrong which is very likely.

With the 22 hp predator you can run 10 gpm @ 2500 psi. It works good. 18 hp will get you 8 gpm @ 2500(ish). just punch in your numbers in this calculator and hp required shows up too. http://www.barens.com/cgi-bin/calc

Thanks. 8 at 2500 will be perfect for me. Going to set up a house/roof rig. From what I've read 8 at 2500 will work for res concrete with pre/post treatment.

I'm running 200 feet of 3/8 hose with 2500 psi @ 10 gpm, so the pressure at the surface cleaner is probably at 1600-1700-psi and I have never had a problem with even the nastiest concrete. Fresh SH with a good surfactant and decent dwell time get the job done. With 8 gpm you will lose 300 psi per 100 feet of hose. http://www.catpumps.com/products/pdfs/993415A_REF_Hose Friction Loss.pdf
