I have yet to do one but it sounds like a good opportunity to make some good money on the initial cleaning and have a good reoccurring account.

I did a bunch of these and I never needed anything more than a strong housewash mix of SH and soap. I just soaked down with a downstreamer and let it sit for awhile then rinsed with cold water.

We have alot of diesel soot on ours up here. We dont get much mildew so we have to use chems to cut that soot most of the time we need to scrub edges and a lift comes in mighty handy. What are you guys getting for these canopies?

Anybody tried 2 stepping them? I'd suspect they will be concerned with what goes into their oil/water separator so high caustic may not be ok with them.

thanks nick it does look good. i would think this one is sooty as well its off the interstate theres alot trucks and traffic so James what kind of chems you talkin about butyl, caustics like other guys said? and i was thinkin about just renting a lift i gota hookup cheap.

I've had the same experience Nick has had. His before pic looks worse then yours. You don't need a lift- a 0030, a downstreamer with a beefed up house wash mix and that canopy could be done in 30-40 min.

House wash mix doesnt touch the soot buildup on the canopies. You need cleansol B/C that cuts it and off it comes. 2 stepping over head NO THANKS!

I have done them both ways, housewash mix and with a butyl/degreaser and had equal results. I liked the degreaser more because I don't keep housewash mix around.

Wouldn't Mean Green work. I use it a lot on Gutters and Metal Buildings. Has anyone tried Mean Green.

Tell us what it is. Were to get it and what it is used for.

Okay thanks everybody. And def thanks to Barry at Cyclone for spending over an hr on the phone with me and giving me some great advice im feeling much more confident, ill find out tmrw if i get these jobs!
