I would like everyone that would like to learn more about interior floor cleaning please post here. I feel like this forum would help a lot of people that are already in this business or that are interested in adding it on. I know that there are other tile and grout forums out there however I feel like pwi can take this to the next level as they have for pressure washing. Please don't be shy post away!

We offer this service. I've worked with a few carpet cleaners to see how they do it... I think we are much better equipped to handle this type of work! We rarely use chemicals and most of our work is w/ restaurants! We have a few hospitals and other medical facilities that have asked for this service and we are researching sanitizers to offer them a little more than just heat!

Just be sure of what you are doing there is a drastic diffrence when you say you are sanitizing or disinfecting according to the FDA also if you are cleaning a medical facility there are certian chems that are not allowed for use.
On food processing facilities the list of approved chems is pretty extensive but the metod of application may be limited by how they set thier production lines up.

That's a big part of our current research. We went thru this back when we sanitized ambulances. There are some great products out there, we are just working on application. We are currently not insured to make promises to hospitals, but that is on our check list!

I believe you know your stuff, have you looked at dardens requirements ? Ammonia is in the process, along with acid. First one I did with there approved FDA process I bought 4500 in stainless.

I have done some tile cleaning recently with my recovery system. The manager was surprised this could be done.

Alexy,
Do you have any place that you can find the list that you are talking about

I use the sirocco recovery system, it worked great the difference was quite dramatic. Its tough to get a real good picture though because when the floor gets wet it shines a lot. Maybe I just need a good camera.

Get a cheap digital camera like from Sam's club, only about $100 and will take 5mp pictures, 5x optical zoom and will hold 1000's of pictures on the memory card that it comes with. They have the threads on the bottom so you can connect it to a tripod if you want to take some video of yourself working.

Get some before and after pictures, those really help sell the jobs.

Interior floors can be some good winter income between the plowing.

How do you like your kaivac

Its essentially just a wet/dry vac, chemical sprayer, and electric pressure washer all in one. Very low PSI. But it gets the job done. You have to scrub and put in some work every now and then. When a restroom is really bad, I sub a tile/grout cleaner and then maintain the restroom afterwards w the Kaivac. But our clients love our restroom cleaning service. And since we are already cleaning their exterior it is an easy sell and I am able to give them a great price. I wouldn't tell you I am crazy about it but I picked it up for $500 on craigslist and it has made me a lot more than that!

Wrong Post sorry about that was suppose to be in the roof pump give away!
