Just pick up a 35 water pole to do 2nd & 3rd floor windows. I hook up to a DI system for spot free window cleaning. It very fast and safe way to clean windows.

The 5 foot difference is "the reach" - pole length extended + average height a man holds the pole. I don't like it but it is how they measure them, especially since when you take into account the that you lose about 25% of that "reach" when you take a few steps away from the building to get the proper angle.

I prefer to get a longer pole than needed (carbon fiber is real nice), that way you do not need to extend the sections all the way so they stay rigid.

sounds promising i just started looking around for waterfed poles...i have a di rinse cart i made up to do small car lots but itll will make more money adding window washing services! thanks for the tip buddy

Pole lengths get confusing.. Most sites list actual length - the site mentioned uses "working height"

Window Cleaning

You will be making more money, you can charge the same for cleaning windows on a 2nd floor than a one car. On your cart add a small eletric pump so you can use soap to wash windows thru your waterfed pole. then use a shut off with a tee to go back with the di water. I have seen some poles that have 2 water lines in them. One is for soap and the other for di water that would be the best way.

Just like a bigger pressure or more of them on a trailer saves you time. Its the same for waterfed poles. Time is money and if you can go 5times faster and cut the cost in half of using a Squeegee you will be making a nice profit and saving the customer money.

The nice thing is that since there are many different poles and systems out there the end user can choose what works best for them. Plus the versatile ways you can deliver pure water now mean an endless list of configurations to fit just about every vehicle or fleet.
