Envirospec School Was Awesome!

A huge thanks to John Allison of Envirospec for putting together this month's 2-day technical school for contractors. This was, without a doubt, the most informative hands-on event yet for me! Everyone got a chance to rebuild a pump (I rebuilt both an AR and General), injectors and two kinds of unloaders to see how they work. There was a burner class to understand and troubleshoot them, an engine class for preventative maintenance put on by Greg Dupree of Kohler, and lots of demos on guns, foamers, and several different pressure washers. ANYTHING you wanted to test out was at your fingertips right at Envirospec facilities. Day Two started out by building a pressure washer from the ground up. My group's unit was an 18 hp Vanguard mounted to a skid plate, which we then attached a gear box, pump, unloader, inlet filter, and bypass line. After completion, we took them outside for us all to test out.

This class will minimize my downtime going forward as I now have a much better grasp on the maintenance of my equipment. Even two awesome lunches and a dinner were provided. Great networking and lots of great tips learned. Thanks again to John and all who attended this month's technical school.

Sounds cool David, How much was it, and is this a recurring class or was it the first of it's kind? Your post makes it sound like a class like this is done monthly. If there's more of them I'd definitely love to see how the skids and all components are put together. As you've said it would certainly help with having to troubleshoot and fix your own machines.

Espec will have one of these 2-day schools each month in 2012 and are limited to a small group to get a lot of one-on-one instruction. I believe the cost is $300 and includes two lunches and a dinner. I will make that back quickly on reduced maintenance costs from a mechanic! Anyone interested can call Envirospec and ask for Joseph. Lots of great business tips too. Allison Hester of Pressure Cleaning Contractor magazine was also in attendance.

Like David said awesome two day school to learn how to build your own machine and how to maintain what you already have. I am have been a big Honda engine fan, but after talking with Greg the Kohler rep and looking at the engines I think my next engine will be a Kohler (most are made in the USA). Kohler engines over 14 hp have hydraulic valve lifter that need no adjusting, Honda engines all have valves that need to be adjusted every 200 hours.Thank you John and staff for a great two day school.

Looks great school. I received the email about it a while ago and yes it will be scheduled every month next year, around the 20s of each month. Making plans already.

Great to see John's educating contractors. Good stuff

The future classes will cost $300 but I had guys tell me two hours into it that it would have been well worth the investment. All the money will go toward helping Suzie's Friends, their animal shelter (which, btw, was really a cool place).

Can you please send me this info as well? I would appreciate it!

Thanks

Ty will have some training right here in Phx this year also
