Why are you guys taking off lids? We have small holes drilled in ours for filling and only take them off when cleaning the tank or putting in chlorine tablets.

I need to do that Tom. I learned a long time ago when I had that F450 with the Roll-along bed conversion to LEAVE the gas caps in the BED of the truck rather than on the bed rail. Those custom caps had to be ordered from the bed manufacturer and cost $90! I only lost one before I made the new "caps go INSIDE the bed" rule! Your tether is even better.
