Valero stations

Not up here. I did almost buy one. They are cheap. The only stations I see or hear getting done are the WaWa stores. And they have their own trucks doing some and contracting out some.

We had a Velaro owner contact us and wanted a per store price. He ownend about 30 stations. We gave them a great price and then he almost fell off his camel. He offered $100 bucks per station. Well lets see...... clean canopy, clean all concrete, clean front of building and the sign. Let me think about it a minute.........Ahh no. They are still dirty. Merry Christmas Mr Velaro.

Monthly 375

Sounds fair for monthly per location.

Entire group of 30 locations at your $375 suggested price = $11250 per month or $135,000 per year .

What if they looked at that collective cost and said, "ok cant afford that" (dont want to spend that),

Whats the price for each location if we have it done twice per year, and price for three times per year?"

One of my first accounts was 47 mobil stations for 265 each monthly.

That was 20 or more years ago

Trying to get that image to embed, I see you have posted since.

47 stations 20 years ago, was great Ron, a couple things that are not the same today:

they are no longer owned by corporate and back then they cared how they looked and had the revenue to spend

Make no mistake, they have the revenues to spend now, and possibly more, since more stations have C-Stores

Please stop telling these guys Scott

What we had quoted was around $429 per store per quarter. They were not interested in every month. $429 bucks is a great price for him for doing all that work. Looks like they never had anything cleaned to date.

Stations with busy C stores make alot more revenue, fuel sales is not the money maker. But they still have to push volume of C-store sales.

James that pricing per quarter per location I think is very fair, if you had gotten it how you would have allocated resources to complete. (machines, manpower, quantity per night)

Nigel,
We have enough machines and manpower to add this to our schedule. I would only add 1-2 per night per crew. We also have regular day work so I dont want to ware my guys out all night. Scheduling this wouldnt be a problem.

Thanks James I am attempting to figure out how a company with larger resources would apply it. Ultimately if anyone was to bid it this would be something to consider.

How many would you have aimed to have completed per night? and the man power per night crew?, at the time did you have nearby work, or the crew would have been dedicated to this, finish the 30 locations route and move on to other night properties? Two machines per location,....trucks?

Knowing everyone is different, just wanted your input(along with others), thanks James.

Nigel,
Most likely only three crews would go out every other night. 2 man crews. We would have performed all services by months end. Filling in when we did not have work etc.

Thanks James, heading to the NY show?
I was looking into it but doesnt look like I will be there. I attended the last show they had and had a great time. I will be at ACR round table in the spring. I never miss that one.
