Hydrotek Trailer

A guy is wanting to sell me his Hydrotek pressure washing trailer. its factory from hydrotek. 16hp vanguard, 3200 psi 4.5gpm on a tandem axle trailer. unit has 1,270 hours which is what concerns me. oil is clean though and the machine looks like it has been very well taken care of. Wanted to get anyones input on what this unit should sell for? Thanks!

ask for service records, or reciepts.
You will need to see his affect on the equipment,
and best.. would be have a pro look at it.
Ask him what spare parts he has accumulated.
..you will find good or bad answers,
but at least, there will be answers you need.
Does it have a fuel pressure gauge ?
how are the battery terminals ? ..there's an indicator. :{/

..and the adjustable temp.-control just means it can be adjusted to that max.
..It does NOT mean it can go there at "Full-Flow".

no fuel pressure guage. I will have to ask about the batteries.

If dude has a tight relationship with maintenance..
you might have a winner there.
I'm sure you'll get value suggestions for the guys the trade'em.
I can help with reliability predictions.

Thanks! thats what i was wanting to know is kind of a ballpark figure on what this may be worth based on the details i have. I am going to talk to the guy some more and get as much information i can as far as maintenance goes. any other opinions are highly appreciated! thanks!

Yeah, I've got a rig already 3500psi 5.5gpm but i thought this may be a nice add on for the right price. Just wanted to get some opinions. I love this forum!

Marc shoot him a price of $2500.00 and see if it sticks.

There are a lot of used units out there. If you are going to buy used, make sure that you buy at your price rather than their price. Shoot him $2500 and see how bad he wants to sell. It all depends on whether you want to buy at a "fair price" or a "good price".

If you look at that set up there is not much space for hauling extra goodies around. From the looks of the motor that unit is several years old and that blue thing with the site glass will cost you big bucks if it needs fixing.I think you would do better off buying new unless you just wanted the machine 1500 max.You cant haul two trailers around with one vehicle and i wouldnt buy that machine just to get the trailer.Epec has a brand new machine with the same specs for around $3000.00 good luck with it.

I just sold one very similiar to this one earlier about 2 months ago and with less hours. Like 3/4 the hours actually. And only got $3k for it. Just keep that in mind.

Thanks guys! What is the life expectancy with these 16-20hp motors? Honda, vanguard, etc? As long as the oil is changed on schedule

I have sold a unit to another member of another forum and it had 1800 when i sold it and it has well over 3500hrs now.Its just hard to tell about hours it wll last it could blow up as soon as you get it or go another 2000 hrs without problems. You would be buying used with no warranty keep that in mind.
