5 Year Warranty???

Anyone who is on here trying to change Williams mind might as well just give up right now. It won't ever happen. Once his mind is made up about something ya might as well just forget about it. :ignore: LOL...

I will say this though and it is from my own experiences of being on roofs and cleaning them for many years. When you first get on a roof and start cleaning it, such as the tile roofs pictured below, you will notice that the temperature drops significantly as you are cleaning it. Roofs that are covered in black mold will retain heat big time. They will actually get so hot that they crack without ever being walked on. Once cleaned the heat is deflected and the tiles themselves cool down. (Ask my feet how I know).

Ask yourselves this. If you had a choice of laying down on the hood of a car with no shirt on in the middle of August which color car would you rather lay on. A black one or a white one? Trust me the white one still may be a bit on the warm side but no where near like the black one.

Now,,, Take a look at these couple of roof pics. Do you really think that the ambient temperature in the attic is still the same after it has been cleaned?

That seems like common sense too Larry. The question would be if the energy savings equals or exceeds the cost of the roof cleaning.

And in regards to your other questions, I don't make it a habit of laying half naked on car hoods. Must be a Florida thing.

BTW, try walking roofs out here!

Very good points Larry. Hope William never changes, he is sharp, smart and has a great view on things.

You are correct Larry. Tiles roofs get blazing hot when dirty in the summer.
I could care less what Williams thinks and am in no way trying to change his mind. My concern is that what I have learned and preached to my customers he is bad mouthing with only his own opinions till this last article that he located which I will investigate when I have more time. We are all running a business and I am in no way here trying to bash others peoples businesses nor tell them how to run them. When confronted with negative opinions I post the articles that I have learned from. Especially when I see the author of the article has a distinguished background in that field.

That is a good demonstration!

Yeah Tony, that is a good question and I seriously doubt that energy saving alone would ever pay for it. Maybe, a white roof with algae would? However, when you couple it with the other economical benefits like increasing the life of the roof it makes it worth it.

Cooler shingles last longer and when there is nothing eating/rotting them it helps too. None of us have the time to pitch all of this to a customer. We really don't have to because they are practically sold already since they are looking for a roof cleaner.

:clapping:Good post Larry, I am tired of all the :bash: going on here. I was hoping that the attitude at this board was more positive but so far the roof cleaning forum is very negative with members ready to critique how others run their business as though they were the Golden Grail of roof cleaners. Lets focus on making this a more positive forum. :help:

Can't we all just get along? hahahahaha j/k

Yeah, I see that you also offer the five (5) year roof cleaning warranty. :nanner:
This is what the customer is not believing! Guys who offer cleaning roofs and say it will stay clean for 5 years. What if its under trees, shaded most of the day or the neigbors roof is filthy? There are to many variables to give that claim. Just my 2 cents.

I never tell my customers its going to stay clean for five yrs. I tell them about our warranty plan and how with the use of it the roof will stay clean for a period of 5-9 yrs.

How does that work? Do you charge them a percentage of the original cost to come treat it every year?

A warranty is for goods bought like a car or appliance not a service . Providing a cleaning service of some kind comes down to guaranties of the work preformed.
