High temp water seals or not?

Hi all,

I would like to get your taughts about my problem...

Last year I baught a portable electric pressure washer equiped with high temperature water seals to back me up in the event that the main unit I'm using breaks down in a middle of the night while doing KEC work but now it's the time to service the portable since the seals are leaking. I asked for a quote for the high temperature seals and I almost fell on my back when I received it, those seals are most expensive than the pump... Do you guys think I could use regular water seals and service them once or twice a year for a fraction of the price of the high temperature water seal?

Did you call Paul K. or Russ J.? I think that they could send them up to you, probably a lot less expensive than what you can buy them from locally.

They are usually more expensive but not fall on your back expensive...Unless it is a cat pump.

The high temp seal kit for my AR pump goes for 341$ and the regular seal kit for 81$... I'm not sure what an AR XTA2G15 retails for but probably around this kind of money?!? I think I'll buy 2 kits of the regular seals and service my unit twice a year instead of going through one kit of the high temp ones... I use this unit rougly 3-4 times a year with hot water so I'll be more careful with the trigger to make sure I'm not going to cook the seals again! Learning a new thing each day!
