One more word of advice for others............check your stock photos. I have about 6 on my site that I got when I set up. Now after such a generic picture of a hand causing accusations of thievery, it makes me wonder where those photos came from. Dont take for granted that getting a picture from godaddy.com is actually a picture thats owned by NO ONE. As soon as possible all those stock photos are gone. An attack on your character is far worse then having doubts to who owns a photo. Be it a hand, a shingle, a roof with moss, a girl answering a phone, a husband and wife, like I got out the gallery-it in all probability belongs to someone else. As has been shown here. Another word of advice is to watch out for dudes like Ed Thompson who call you and ask you to remove something, then tell you its all good, while 10 minutes later creating threads, attacking you for doing so.
Ed Thompsons word really stinks. When he tells you something dont believe it. He completely acted as if it was no big deal, when I apologized and explained that I didnt know it was his photo, he accepted the apology and then created a thread completely 360 going back on everything he said. Much like a woman would do.

Hey Vicosal,

I don't know you and I don't know Ed Thompson but the point is why are you using generic pics from GoDaddy and you're not using your own pics? You run a business were before/after pics are a must for your marketing and publicity... You don't take the time to take pictures on you're jobs? Stop blaming the whole world for your own mistake and move-on!

@vicosal - First off I think that you need to re read the terms of service for Godaddy and the images. Secondly they do NOT have to label their photos for them to become their property whether on the web or not. As soon as that button is pushed and the shutter snaps that photo, that photo becomes the property of the photographer. Take a good look at the copyright laws while you are at it. Assuming things the way your world perceives it just makes an ass out of you.

So on top of being admitting to stealing you belittle women and attack the person you stole from. One would hope that your customers do not find this site.

I truly apologize for starting the thread yesterday. Mind you the thread was started long before I called you. Mind you again Sir I never mentioned who you were or who used the pic. I merely asked a question of 'How would you feel if you found your pics on someone elses video'. I never said anyone was a thief. You outed yourself by starting threads like this one. I totally see how it seems dishonorable that I called you, you obliged, then schooled me on the pitfalls of not tagging my pics. We all have a part to play here. Im accepting my part, I should have deleted the thread. I never called you a thief. I dont want you chased out of here. I want you to stay, share, learn and make a nice living doing what we love. Im sorry. Lets move on.

Now who's the PROFESSIONAL???? Nice post Ed.

I am not a professional! Vicosal you are a dipshit and a douchebag! I don't know Ed but he was right to call you out. I am going to spell it out in very plain English for you since you can not take a hint from others. USE YOUR OWN DAMN PICTURES! If you don't have any suck it up till you do! What you did is like Ed coming over to your house and taking your car cause he didn't want to use his own.

Lol I shut a guys website down for having just one of my pics on his site. I don't have to tag, watermark, earmark, claim anything.....it's mine when I take the picture and you cannot use it period. If you didn't take the picture or buy the rights to the photo or purchase stock photos, your site could and will be shut down.....go ahead and ask me how I know. If your smart enough to know how to use the search button here, go and look up the thread where I had a guys site shut down by ICCAN for using one of my pics. FYI, all my pics on my site are mainly stock photos that the webmaster purchased when he made my site. Your disillusioned and full of crap and are opening up yourself to a lawsuit by just taking photos cause they aren't "marked"....they aren't yours there skippy!!!

Just an FYI guys.... a potential customer has the ability to read your post here as well. Think about your language as you're getting your point across, expressing your thoughts, etc.

Says the guy with 16 posts......Really I hope a customer reads it so they can see I have morals and ethics.

Squirtgun.......You really missed what I was pointing out.... I was just saying you can get your point across in a professional manner without the offensive language.

I don't think me having 16 post has anything to do with pointing out what I did and I'm not so sure why you felt the need to refer to my post count.

Understood completely Ed....... just didn't want to see someone post something and have it come back to bite them. Since I'm here "taking" I was trying to "give" as well.

As far as season length goes..... if mother nature is in a good mood, you could have 6 months..... give or take a week or 2.

Ouch!!!! 6 months is a very short work time. Do you have a full time job and just do this on the side? I know I stay somewhat busy in the wintertime with commercial accounts and such, but I am sure that you couldn't even do that, so I would think it would be extremely hard to do this full time up there.

As for Squirtgun and several others, these guys have been in it for probably 10 or more years each, so I'm sure customer factor doesn't give them much relevance in their posting.

Jeremy.... I'm a General Contractor up here. Most of what my company offers up here is remodeling, maintenance, and repairs. We stay pretty busy with that. I just recently decided to consider adding pressure washing services to the menu. So for now I am researching the pressure washing trade for the time being. We can get down to -50 below in the dead of winter.... so not much of anything that involves water can take place during those temps.
