Do Google Reviews Expire?

Google recently changed their guidelines and people have been losing their reviews. They pulled my listing completely and it was listed at the top of Google Maps for 2 years.
I changed some information on the ad and it's pending review.

I've had the same problem. I lost my local map listing a few weeks ago. I couldn't find it anywhere. I had a link for it on my website to make it easy for customers to leave reviews and Google redirected that link to a local competitors listing. Within the last week, my local listing has returned but now I see that one of my reviews has disappeared. After all this I still have the one negative review (left by a competitor) that I have contacted Google about removing.

Perhaps someone should google this question. Yes?

I did Google it. Didn't spend more than a minute inquiring, I took the lazy route. Plus I'd figure someone else may be running into this. Many times we will do free little extras in exchange for review. Most people will gladly do it anyway but when they have to create a Gmail account is where the willingness ends. We sit down with them and walk them through it. It takes a little effort to get alot of reviews so I'm a little peeved when they go missing.

Did you have to do anything to get it listed again?
If you "flag" the negative review it should come off pretty quick.

Hey I'm currently all ears about this! One day I'm there next day not, next day back, freakin crazy!

Michael, Google's updating and changing things a lot and that happens. Especially now. I wish I was notified of their "Quality Guidelines" issues - I would have made the changes had I would have known.

I didn't do a thing. I check the searches almost daily and it magically appeared. As for the negative review, I've flagged it twice, and it's still there. I'm not sure what else to do other than post a reply under it. Maybe I'll try flagging it again, now that my listing has reappeared.

Interesting. Did you flag it from an email address different from the one your account is? If not try that. Have your wife and a friend do it from their accounts.

Maybe it is all about google changes. Also google check for fake reviews. If for any reason they think it is fake they will remove it.
