Spent the week working with Matt N

Putting the knowledge to use.

Three years ago a search for "coil cleaning" would have come up with a handful of results. Now everyone with a wand wants to advertise that they clean coils. It's really kind of funny, but sad knowing all the destruction and damage they will cause when they crack freon lines, pop fans and do other damage.

I cleaned my first coil as a part time summer employee at age 12. It's in my blood. And we do it right.

Matt and Brenda first went through our training in 2009.

Today I heard a 30yr tech say he just watched some of the best coil cleaning he'd ever seen.

Congratulations Matt and Brenda. Professionalism and persistence pays off!

Great stuff! Congrats Matt! You are doing great work in Colorado... Tony you are the man for actually taking the time to show up and help train him. This is great team work and networking by true professionals. There needs to be more of this in our industry.

Tony, I would love for you to teach me some coil cleaning out here! I don't want to be a hack cracking coils! haha

If you ever are in town visiting Ron stop by and see me.

Once again congrats Matt on your new service...

Got it for you Tony.

Thanks Russ.

Doug, I can't "reply with quote' either. What is going on with our accounts? John T, are your coming in the backdoor and disabling our accounts? lol! Also, when I click on "GO ADVANCED" to see how my post is going to look I just get a blank box. Can anybody help with this?

Ty, there is a lot of work in AZ. I'm working on some stuff down there right now. We already do work with three companies that have a decent sized presence in Phx. I'll let you know how it's going over the next few months. These things take time. Keep in mind, Matt got the knowledge in 2009.

I didn't mean to sound like an ass about the guys advertising coil cleaning. But you guys can ask Matt or Tom on this board....coil cleaning is not like concrete. You can really do some serious money damage in seconds that would put most guys right out of business. And to see these guys throwing up coil cleaning on their websites all over the place just because they went out in there backyard and cleaned their own coils without flattening the fins they think they are experts and advertise as such. One brief lapse in concentration can result in a $600 bill for a fan motor. Been there, done that.

This guy here is 30 ft long, about 15 ft wide and has two coils in it and more in two separate structures next to it. There are no drain pans for some of the coils which means Matt will have to find a way to capture every drop of water (and it will take a LOT) because these sit above millions of dollars or precision electronic welding equipment and other electronics. There are 16 of these three part units on one building alone.

Does anybody really think this is a job for somebody who advertises on their website that they "clean coils" just because they can spray down some little units without electrocuting themselves? I welcome anybody to start up new services, but if you don't have any experience, please refrain from listing it as one of your services till you get some experience. Once you've gone out and burned up some units and destroyed them, it just makes it harder for those of us who have taken this seriously to repair the damage hack work causes.

Congratulations Matt, looks like a great account.

Great video Tony.

I also cannot reply with "quote" as it just opens up a blank box and the advanced does the same thing. Hmmmmmmmm...................

I am using firefox, cannot qoute or do the advanced.

I have been wanting to wash those Tony, have the tools, game plan and info, just not the work yet.

I will call you, if you cannot wash those, there is other work on that site that is not bad, actually easy and pays well.

I used to be able to quote and do advanced, just happened this past week so I cannot do the quote or advanced anymore.
