Oxyclean?

Never cleaned wood before but doing some research. When I google sodium percarbonate some of the first results I get are for oxyclean. Can it be used to clean wood?
 
Really expensive to buy oxyclean, its a brand name compared to just getting any of the deck cleaners that are percarb based
 
What about roof cleaning? What is the best agent to use? And can it just be just rinsed off and how long is the dwell time?
