Who needs a Website but still hasn't got One?

I will just leave this thread alone. It's better for me anyway if other power washers think they should not have websites. But I make far more than 150k a year just off my website. Hopefully that is enough conviction for the next man to create one. Especially since u can get a site for as low as $500. I respect everyone's opinion and don't want to start trouble. Good luck to you all.

Websites are enhancements to everyone's business, they have become very important.

I will say that sometimes they create a person loosing focus. By this I mean they follow every dollar from every call. Website does not dictate who and what I wash.

Also I think websites still do not create calls as much as other leads generators do.

But I would never tell anyone not to get a site. Foolish, you need a web presence even if its just a tool to use.

I agree with both of you, i feel points have been made on both ends.

If you build marketing around your site I think it's works, but I can say that it's not as relevant as marketing business in other places.

Here's a funny, email is less useful today. Social media is killing websites.

What's it going to be in five years. Everyone's on groupon Angie's list or eBay.

I'm not going to be around to find out!

I don't have one yet been trying to get one. Just not shore on what to put on it. I have to get better at taking pics of the work I do and then getting it out there.

I need to get a website. Another thing I have to add to the list of priorities along with non bleach stained shirts, new chemicals, equipment upgrades, getting body work and lettering done on my cheap truck, etc.

Then you should put a website at the the top of that list.........a good one would pay for everything else on your list.

Same boat and no paddle. And we've been at it since Jan.
Developing leads seems to be a big problem for us too.

Thanks for the advice guys. After reading this thread, it motivated me and made me make getting a website a top priority. After researching this forum, I found Pat Motz. Didn't know if I was going to be able to afford a website right away, but at $150 to start and $30 a month for the next two years, it was easy to get started. He is a really nice guy, and did a great job on the website. You can check it out at www.jdroofcleaning.com. Thanks Pat!

We do not currently have a website. I will be looking through this thread to see what tips people offer and I hope I can get something going by 8/19/2013. Wish me luck, its time to step it up.

Well in my attempt to stick to my word and actually progress this at a decent pace, I decided to just break it down and get it going before I went to bed.

After referrals most all of our business comes from website. Outside of lettering our trucks it is the only advertising that we do. But even if you have a great looking site it does you no good unless people can find it. If you are not good with SEOs find someone to do it for you as it is well worth the money.

I made the mistake of ignorantly allowing my last web builder also do the hosting. He suddenly went bankrupt without notifying anyone. My web site was history. have your website hosting done with a separate company.
Im currently looking for a new builder to build a professional site with a strong SEO at the start. Im not sure I want to pay a large monthly charge for SEO.

I currently do not have a site, just a domain. I am another 'youngin like Ty and believe the way of the world is the Web and if you don't have a strong web presence your competition will, and will make you pay for it. To rectify this issue I have looked at a considerable amount of his web design work and it is top notch. It's time to realize the age we are in.
