We get a decent response but the time of the year makes huge difference. Our advertising over April and May usually does extremely well. We did our first run last fall (semi-off season for wood) and received around 40-45 estimates out of it (mixed decks and house washing). I'm doing a partial run in March and a full run in April so I'll report back with the results. I'll hunt down the file this week and post it. Been rebooting a laptop the past two days after good old windows updates locked it all up... not sure which computer it is on at the moment.

I sat down with a guy who does pressure washing in my area, he sent me the link to this thread about Valpak. He signed up to do 30,000 homes for 2 months at .03 cents per home.

I can extend this deal to anyone who wishes to try Valpak.

I know this is an extremely late bump, and it can be annoying. I just saw so many people who were let down and were curious about the product. Please PM me or reply to my post if you have any questions..

I have seen numerous threads about the "open rate" of Valpak, in which other Valpak reps told them that it was 9/10 times. The ONLY study that they have to prove this is: Each mailing 10, $100 checks are placed into envelopes, made out to cash, on AVERAGE, 8.8 times, those checks are cashed. That is how we track the "open rate"

Some markets have a more powerful brand. Our market works well for just about any business that advertises. Some markets work poorly as the content inside the envelope is not attractive (actually, it blows).

The keys to Valpak.

1. You must make the consumer think they are getting a deal (you don't need to be the cheapest)
2. Your artwork should follow our standard operating procedure. (What is it?, what am I getting and for how much? followed by a few pictures)
3. Repetition, and coverage.


Lastly, We can provide you with a local (your area code, NOT 888 or 800 number) phone number, that will forward right to your phone, that records the calls, names and addresses, to track EVERY penny, and EVERY lead that you get from our mailing. EVERY client that I have put on call tracking is STILL mailing with me today.
