Whats the Best Surfactant ?

So after reading through this and some other places I went to order my first gallon of roof snot. I figured this may be a permanent addition to my mix. Almost did BUT One gal. of roof snot along with two 3/8" quick connects and two 25 count packs of O rings was going to cost me $105. Never mind. I'll go over an area twice if needed. If I wanted it shipped three day UPS shipping would be $146 bringing my total order to $186.

Doug is right. The shipping is flooky. It wants to package each item ordered in a separate package and ship it individually. Call me for a shipping quote Monday morning.

WOW good to know. But what if I placed the order? Would it of gone through at that price? Thanks for clearing that up. If it were not for this forum I would of just moved again. But, if not for this forum I would not be looking into it either :)

Russ can comment on the part of if it had gone through. I was juts posting what I have seen him post before about the online shipping prices.

Are there any other products that can increase the hang time on the side of a house?I have not had a real need but experimenting is part of the fun.

In my experience the more soap, the more hang, and the longer rinse time. You have to find that happy medium. I have just found that Roof Snot cleans better for me and rinses better too. I use 2-4 ounces (depending on surface and how dirty) in a 5 gal pail when Downstreaming.

I just used snot on a loading dock with great success. Also on a wall on a 30 foot deck. The place we could not reach with pressure. The snot stuck better than our normal surfactant.

I highly recommend it based on these results.

The webstore does not process the credit cards, I do when I get the order off the site. For Paypal payments, once the order is processed, the residual shipping is credited back.

Thanks Russ. Good to know. And Ron, You mentioned using it on a loading dock. Concrete flatwork or vertical? My most recent concrete work I did apply cleaner. I Used a 5 gal homebrew (hardly spill) bucket and hook an injector right at the end of the hose. No nozzle just turn on the ball valve and shoot through the injector. A fast way to apply. But I was wondering if I had a bit of snot in the mix if it would of helped. Not that the weak bleach mix I was using was washing away but maybe it would of stayed wetter and not be chased away by the surface cleaner as quick. Also. Am I the only one who applies a little sh to concrete in the pre wet? It seems to help keep things even for me.

I apply prior when it is really dirty. I also will apply after and allow to dry. Really brightens up the concrete.

Interesting. No negative effects of applying after and letting it sit in the concrete? I guess just SH with no soap or anything else. I have a couple of concrete jobs this week. I may try this on one. The other is only a section of a larger area so I don't want to make it to bright. or maybe.....
