Hydrotek 3000 not working right

You would think this being my third year, I would know a little bit more about power washing equipment. However, I don't. I have a Hydrotek 3000 that was working great as of Monday. Today when I turned it on, it was surging really bad and I didnt have any pressure. I took the wand off and was letting water run though, all that was running through was brown/black water for a long time. Then it stopped and now I can barley get anything through.

I made sure nothing was clogged up in the pump (that is about all I know how to do) and it seemed to be clear. I have a guy that works on them but they close at 5 and I have a couple of accounts I was supposed to do tonight. Might have to wait. Thanks for any input!

Does it have a chem injector on it? The black stuff may be stuck in the orifice.

Did you get it fiexed? Im with Russ, there have been many times that the chemical injector has gotten clogged.

Check the injector like Russ said if it is equipped with one. Sounds like it is a hot unit because of the black junk coming through, you may need to descale the coil. The buildup could be restricitng the flow so much that it wont work properly anymore. Like this coil here.

Yes, I got it fixed today. Very embarrassing but the guy said it appeared to him it was just a vapor lock and possibly some crud stuck in there. I get really scared, when I dont know what is going on. Are there ever any small engine classes or pressure washing 101 classes?
