Trex-we are about to take another hit.

I have allways dis-liked trex gray decking and so did a lot of homeowners and builders. Well I watched them build a whole new development with the new colored Trex decking, with two tone.
The flooring is a much nicer brown, with white railings.
They might still need a wash but resto work is a thing of the past.
over 150 house's.

For restoration work it sucks but as for cleaning Trek it gets dirty like anything else which means another thing to be powerwashed. Just like Vinyl houses, they clean real easy.

Sometimes I wonder why more homeowners don't clean there Vinyl houses themselves because its so easy. Just like Trek Decks. Don't get me wrong I'm glad they don't always clean them themselves because of course its more money in our pockets.

two reasons. one they dont understand the use of chem or how to apply it, not to mention the watered down junk available at the depot.
Two, for the same reason there is a line at the car wash, even the self serve one.
As you know there is a total dif. between a surface restorer and a contract cleaner,at a min, just the price diffrence.

I have seen the new color of trex, but trex has not taken off around here. St Charles county, were we live and work, is the fastest growing county in the state of missouri. The number of synthetic decks vs real decks is low. Real wood still rules it seems. But I know what you are saying bout how the synthetics are trying to capitalize.
