Payroll services anyone using one?

I know Steve button uses ADP. Does any one else use a service? What are some pros and cons you have experienced. In theory it sounds good but for $60 a week it just is not making sence to me. I could see maybe $30 a week but still it's only me and 2 employees. Any input would be great.

Adp is it brother , they have bought all the banks out

We use our accountant. They fill out all forms for us. All I do when hiring someone is send over the employee info. If we get anything I just fax it to them. $500 a year to do both out taxes and payroll. Negotiate with your accountant. Its well worth it.

We use our QuickBooks it does all the calucations and prints checks. Once a qtr I do a portable backup and email to our accountant for doing qtrly tax reports. They also do any other tax reports from the portable backups as well such as county busness tax return ect ect. At end of year the accountant also do the W2 and 1099 along with our 1065. I pay 125.00 a qtr and at end of year 375.00.

I use Bank America Easy on line Payroll service. $15.00 a month. It flies al your quarterly and annual forms. Works great for me. Best part is you don't need to go to your accountant till the end of the year.
.

I'm surprised, most of the other banks pay checks or adp bought out. I loved using bofa years ago

Kory, my payroll invoice states $69.21 every 2 weeks for:

Payroll Checks Prepared
Tax Filing
Delivery
Poster Compliance Service
New Hire Reporting
Garnishment Payment Service
Employee Access
General Ledger Interface
Electronic Reports

I also pay $10 every 2 weeks for processing the 'pay-by-pay' workers comp. However, I get a 30% discount on the $69.21 - I think this was offered by Aaron when I first signed up. Every 2 weeks my final invoice amount from ADP is $58.45.

Did you get your quote over the phone? I'd maybe check to see if there is a local rep - I couldn't reach Aaron the cell phone number I had for him... work the NCE related magic to see if you can get a discount! (... want to add that I think it is a great service and makes life a lot easier!)

60 bucks every two weeks for me with ADP. Bi weekly pay, covers all filings and deposits.

I do all mine in house the tax update is like 275 a year and keeps up with all the form changes and tax changes. I just have a check list that i follow to make sure i file all the forms each month. Everyting is really automated in my software that way. I use Peachtree but Quicbooks should have that service too.

We use ADP. The savings we have on workmens comp more then covers any charges from ADP

We use a company called The Reserves Network. They do all the payroll and provide workers comp. The only problem is the mark-up. A $9.00 per hour crew member costs just under $13.50 total to us. The upside is we have nothing to do but write the check. No hassle no headache. If someone has an accident they handle ALL of it. Had a crew member claim work comp on a hand rash this year, they told him to stop in for a pee test, when he didn't show they terminated him and denied the claim. We have nothing to deal with ever.

I wonder about that in some states being legal?
