EPA Enforcement in 2012 Protects Communities From Harmful Pollution

I think this is a closed chapter.

Nothing has changed. Even if a change were proposed at this point I wouldn't have enough trust to believe it wasn't contrived.

Can't we just ignore all this junk and get on with turning this thing around?

We've already started at the UAMCC.

Please join with us to help.

Right Now.

These laws guard against harmful business practices and protect the market from anti-competitive practices such as large mergers and price-fixing conspiracies.

[h=2]Investopedia explains 'Federal Trade Commission - FTC'[/h] The Federal Trade Commission deals with complaints that are filed regarding unfair business practices such as scams, deceptive advertising and monopolistic practices. It reviews these complaints to determine if businesses are in fact engaging in harmful practices. The FTC is also responsible for reviewing mergers in the market to ensure that they do not hurt competition in the market and potentially harm consumers. Generally speaking, the FTC does not have the ability to directly enforce its rulings, but it can go to the courts to have them enforced.

Robert Scott Stone is the chair, the UAMCC will have a regional person for each region and at least one state representative.

Together these men & women together will work on a UAMCC owned program.

Robert you knew this from our conversation the other Day.

We also will have members from educators, groups and business people from communities with interests involved.

PWNA Cosmetic Power Washing Guidelines

Please....enough with the "Cosmetic Power Washing"

Isn't washing a car "cosmetic?
Isn't a laundromat for "cosmetic" cleaning of clothes and fabric?
Carpet's get dirty...isn't cleaning them just "cosmetic"?

Why don't any of these industries use this same term in their BMP's or have their Org leaders repeating it over and over and over?

I'll tell you why...because it isn't rational, reasonable or logical to expect people to live in filth. Keeping your living environment clean is important. It isn't rational, reasonable or logical for an industry to suggest to regulators that their services are optional luxury's.

Please stop helping us...

No one ever answered what the UAMCC’s

  1. Environmental Chairperson is, so I assume you do not have one that will take on the responsibility and admit who he is!
  2. You have never published you BMPs as I have, so you probably cannot agree on these either.

Where is the leadership, just in Bulling everyone else?

As Ron said, I am the environmental chair, as was stated way back when John was asking my qualifications. I haven't posted in this thread, because I found the verbal sparring useless. There are currently BMP's, as stated, but they are being revised so that they are clear, and non contradictory. We also are going to have them closely align with the Federal Standards, and if we do advocate for changes on a local level, we are going to advocate to maintain the federal standards, instead of something more stringent and costly for the contractor.

Thank you Scott, how long before you wil publish your BMPs?

UAMCC Storm water BMP’s

Introduction:
The UAMCC (United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners) is the premiere association for the contract cleaning industry. This association contains some of the largest independent cleaning contractors in the United States. Since being established the UAMCC has worked diligently to promote the pressure cleaning professional as an environmentally astute contractor that reduces pollution and promotes keeping our cities clean.
As such, the UAMCC wants to establish a reasonable set of BMP’s (Best Management Practices) that promote the welfare of the local AHJ’s (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) from the municipalities that we work in. Our goal is to be recognized as a first line defense against pollution, and we will work to reduce the potential pollutants that enter the waste stream.
As a first line defense against pollution, we understand that the expense to remediate the waste stream does not need to be unreasonably costly, and that it can be accomplished using basic recovery and diversion techniques that will facilitate compliance by the property owners and their contractors.
With this in mind, we have established BMP’s that are easy to follow, inexpensive enough that even new contractors can be in full compliance, and will effectively reduce the potential for pollution to keep our land and waterways clear and beautiful.

Here's a little sample of some of Scotts Work Robert
