Some of us are curious to see who would be interested in sitting in with some officials from anyone of the following and if where lucky maybe a couple from each EPA,POTW,AHJ's and people who are influential that can maybe help get this Industry more on the map.

This would be a question and answer type session.

Take the poll above and add your thoughts here as to what you think.. Because your opinions matter.

My dear John,

I have cussed out the head of the local POTW in a public meeting and later sent him flowers to make up. He accepted.

I meet on average once per month with local department heads and senior municipal staff that govern our industry.

I have served on any number of local boards drafting ordinances.

I have testified at public hearings on the local legislative level as needed.

I have read every word in the Maryland Storm Water Manual.

I have more than ten years designing basic storm water management systems.

I was a lead participant in crafting our local storm water management standard plans.

And the last thing that I desire to do is make our industry stand out or put it on the map.

Anonymity as an industry would be preferred.

Hey Tim the above is probably going to happen on a small scale because We have people interested in getting to ask there own questions so we can begin working towards a resolution....

But on a different thought process would you possibly be interested in talking about your involvement in a classroom type setting atmosphere and take some questions yourself?? -- just thinking allowed at this moment in time--

But Tony didn't you talk to regulators yourself already?

The above would be to bring the regulators to us so we can talk to them in a group setting, so many people can ask questions that concerns them. With this idea what don't you like about it?

I never said you did.
This meeting would be for information purposes only. Same reason why Tony reached out to a regulator or two to see what there points are, this would bring that many regulators if not more so we can ask questions as a whole....

Hey Tim... Jim and Robert don't make or change the rules. Why the net guys give these two so much power is beyond me.. To bad we won't see you here... But you and I will be somewhere else in the near future--- I'm really looking forward to that one as well buddy.

Don't know yet Guy because none of us have the power to do much yet. This is the beginning phase of figuring these regulators out.... At least it is on my end. I don't know much about them probably no where near what you know so I'm looking to get "Educated" yesterday.

Power to do what John? Whats to figure out? I really wish you would explain what you mean so I could have a better understanding of what you're getting at.

I know nothing about the "Regulators" themselves, and I guarantee that any info you get from Las Vegas will be different than that from NY, as will be the "Regulators" themselves.

Either way a meeting could only help....right?
 
With all do respect what are we thinking here? John I know you have a successful business but how long have you been cleaning roofs? Let's leave well enough alone! The way they are handing out fines for anything they can think of to generate money in this economy why hand them something else? I can only imagine the rules that would come into play, and the "extra work "it would involve for a simple roof cleaning. The old saying stands strong here...If it ain't broke don't fix it"! You would just be putting a nice big fat target on yourself. Don't rock the boat leave it alone!
