What would you do???

As many of you know, I have multiple large contracts with cities. The smallest is about $260,000 a year. Because of what my core market is, we are in the streets and dealing with a lot of issues with the public and governments.
Recently, one of my cities had a green expo conference. I should have gone, I was invited, but I wasn't able to make it. Apparently, someone went to the conference, and claiming to be associated with my company, made a lot of claims, and innuendos, that were basically designed to damage my business, and my relationship with my cities.
As of right now, I am working to meet all the requirements that I was previously told, and have documented, were unnecessary, because of this unsolicited interference from someone claiming to be my environmental representative.
If you were to find out who the person was, what would you do to them?

I'd try to get more clarification and expose the scumbag.

Then sue his a$$. Surely almost 3 million a year is worth defending for a few thousand.

As a matter of fact, I'm not certain a class action lawsuit isn't in the making.

We are all damaged by this.

This happens when we put our trust in "icons" rather than contractors who have a history of giving and getting nothing in return.

Is that considered criminal and they can be arrested ? There must be video of the expo somewhere. I just don't think like that so it boggles my mind when chit like this happens.

Wow that's crazy, fraud? I would use every avenue available to get that straightened out.

Tortorterous interference w a contract, they can be held liable for any damages Especially if they impersonated themselves as an employee, officer, agent, or even commynucating info about your company.

Oh. And I'd take whatever steps necessary to prevent this person from doing this ever again. To me or anyone else.

I know a Guy.

Rocco actually lives in Vegas now, I'm sure he is bored.

I think Scott has at least a good idea already of who it might be. I believe you can be sued for defamation of character and also I would think it would fall under false identity somewhere as well.

Legal action along with public humiliation on tv to show what he did to your company would be a great start.

Some local tv channels will air issues like this to help you expose the B.S. and get the word out there that it was not you or your company but some scumbag trying to hurt your company that did this out of spite.

Some don't understand how serious things are until they are finally dragged into court, think this might show that scumbag that messing with someone's business is serious.

If this don't work then there is plan B (Rocco).

Local tv wont do much if it isnt a local person. Rocco sounds interesting, but most people are more willing to protect their money then they are their life
