Landa Water Jet

Just purchased a Pre Owned Landa Water Jet surface cleaner. I am going through it and replacing anything that it needs to make it new again. Does anyone know where I can get a schematic and a parts list? Where is the best place to get the replacement parts?

I can get parts for the Cyclone, many of which will fit the Waterjet. Some of the parts, however, must be bought through a Landa dealer.

I wondered why there aren't any websites that have them listed. Since it has been used, I would like to find a schematic to see if any parts were missing. It looks like someone tried to do some repairs. There is a slight groove on the tube coming from the Rotary union to the spray arm. It looks like it was riding against the housing. Seems like there should be a bushing or something there.

I have the Landa Water Jet Owners Manual in pdf form. It has the complete parts explosion and parts list. Anyone that wants one, pm me with your email addy and I will send it to you.

Landa has a one new, one piece arm about $28. It uses 1/4 inch tips instead of the old 1/8th inch. Chris used it for the first time last night and he said he loves it. It is welded so there there are no adjustments, but coming out of adjustment was one of the biggest problems with that SC.

They are great surface cleaners but the swivels cost over $400.

2-11058 rebuild kit is what I'm looking for.

I know these are great surface cleaners but a little too expensive for me right now.

I would like to see a side by side comparison cleaning with the Whisper Wash Classic and the Landa Water Jet.

Maybe both of them on an equally dirty concrete area, similar size pressure washers and see how fast they clean, how fast you can walk without any striping or swirls and then a closeup of how clean the concrete really was.

I think this would be very interesting to see.

That groove means that tube is worthless. It will just keep eating up bearings. A new tube is $130. New bearings are $20. If the union is still good that will fix it.

The bearings go out occasionally. You can tell when it starts wobbling. STOP using it then, spend $20 on new bearings and that tube will last a long time. Otherwise it will become scored and worthless like the one you have and two of ours right now.

How long are those bearings and rotating unions lasting you guys, Tony and Ron?

Ron is right, they do last a long time as long as you stay on top of those bearings.

It's a 20 minute job every year or so to change the bearings and save that $130 on the shaft or if it shakes bad enough, save that $500 for a new rotary union.

We have one shaft that scored so bad the shaft finally just cracked and started spraying water.

This is why Russ Johnson and Paul Kassander are doing so well.

I have the bearing from the local Landa Dealership here in my hand. I had to drive halfway across down to get it and then had the privilege of paying $22.00

Here it is at Fastenal for $4.26 http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0474476

And on Ebay for $5.63 with FREE SHIPPING. http://compare.ebay.com/like/190732272535?_lwgsi=y&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

This is why I refuse to buy anything from these people unless I just can't get it elsewhere.

A long time ago I made them an offer. I said I would pay them 30% higher than internet pricing at places like Envirospec or the other online stores. For example I bought a pump for around $500 shipping included from Paul. I was willing to pay them $650 for the same pump AND drive over there and get it. They laughed and said they just couldn't do that and the best they could do for the same pump was $900.

Are these people insane?

I wish I could find that stupid bar somewhere else. $130???????????????????? I could probably take it down to a machine shop and have it made from scratch for less than half that.

Well, I hope you guys can use the Ebay lead for these bearings. At least that's $20 they won't be getting from me anymore.

I think that Steel Eagle or Whisper Wash could probably make a spray bar for you.

Most of their spray bars are like $50 on up so it might be worth calling them to find out, you would need the inside dimensions of the dome, length of spray bar, thread size, etc....

How much is that plastic deck when it needs to be replaced? Just wondering what that deck and handle and wheels would cost? Anyone replace them lately?

Convert to mosmatic

Russ. I am rebuilding my landa water jet. Got it together. Just waiting for a new one piece Spray Bar. You mentioned conveting to a mosmatic swivel. I would like to do that. Do they fit without alteration, or is there an adapter that I have to buy?

Ron's the one that brought up Mosmatic...not me. If there's a conversion kit available, I'll see if I can lay hands on one for you.
