8 GPM is definitely the way to go! I'll never go back! Although I ended up going through the cash I had set aside for a skid pretty quick during this slow winter season, with help from Russ Johnson, Paul Kassander, and a super cheap pressure washer on Craigslist, I was able to piece together an 8 GPM system. Got a chance to wash with it for the first time today. It cut my time washing a driveway by less than half. I would have thought it would only cut it in half, but I guess I should not have been using a 20'' surface cleaner with 4 GPM. I think it also cut rinsing time to less than half too though. Can't wait to finish getting the chemical tank and hose reels set up on the new trailer!

seems like it worked out for you, good. time to make some money. I just bought a trailer and thats the first thing I need to do is upgrade the pump to an 8 gpm. then your rockin and rollinhg. the way I heard it was

4 gpm is so so

5.5 gpm is good

8 gpm is unfreakinbelievable

Looks like a different surface cleaner than the one Paul fixed at Orlando....

Yeah, that was part of the Craigslist deal. The pressure washer on the right hand side with the cat pump came with that barely used Mosmatic surface cleaner, 100 feet of double wire pressure hose, an unused Legacy gun, and a box full of brand new couplers for $450.

I see the chain wrapped around the pressure washers. I am assuming that is so they do not grow legs and walk away. How are they secured on the trailer so they do not shift around?

Yeah, I have had pressure washers grow legs before. I do not have a lot of slack on the chain and it seems to keep them from moving around the trailer. If it becomes a problem I'll figure something else out.

Thats great. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Congrats Josh.

Well Done Young Man!!!!!!!

Did you change the tips on the surface cleaner to match the gpm you have now???

Now get 2 hose reels, 200' of pressure hose, 100 of fill hose mount them and wash from the road instead of the driveway and shave more time off washing.

Thanks Josh I needed that, seems if you speak to some people I haven't done anything good in the last couple of weeks.....I'm glad For You Buddy!!!!!!

Lol well glad I could make you feel better about the good advice you give here!

Yeah, I remembered to change all my nostrils. I have a hose reel mounted to the bed of my pickup right now, so I only have to unreal it and then plug it in to the trailer. I just got some hose repair connectors from Paul, so after I'm finished repairing my busted hoses I should have more than enough.
