Anyone ever pitched (quoted) a Homeowners Association?

I'm thinking about approaching a HOA to do all the driveways, sidewalks and curbs, and was wondering if anyone has attempted this before? If so, what were your results?

All the time that is our main bread and butter. where are you going to get the water, who is going to pay homeowner or hoa, how many drives can you do a day. how long can you afford to wait on money. You need your pricing down to a science because the usually want the best price and if your not close they wont bother with you. Hoa's can be money makers. I work lakeland ocasionally so thats all I can give up. Good luck

Great info Greg, thanks.

There is actually a chapter on this in "The Pressure Cleaning Marketing Bible" by Steve Stephens. It's available through Amazon, or you can email me and I'll get you the info on buying the book. Steve doesn't currently have a website or anything promoting the book.

I'm pitching an HOA next week. It's for a condo community with 60 units and they're looking for pressure washing/deck cleaning. They're having a meeting and giving me 10 minutes to give my sales pitch. The head of the HOA called me last year and we did her home and her rental unit. Followed up last week, seems like their only concern is pricing, like they would go with somebody else they never used before to save $25. I'm never the lowest bidder so I'm showing them the value in my service (soft wash vinyl, never leave window streaks, exterior gutter scrub, etc).

I've also approached several other HOAs and out of six or seven landed one that resulted in $250 for 75 town homes. We lined it up in August, which was nice since that's a slow month for us. I have family/friends in the development which is how I got the in. Having customers that can vouch for you makes all the difference in the world. I came down in price from my proposal which was $325 per, but I'll hopefully service the community again in the near future.

Steve is a great guy and knows his stuff. Buy the book!

Greg also hit the nail on the head as well.

we did our first one last year. I'd like to do more. We had to come in cheap but it was a nice days pay, we rocked it!
