Needing insurance

Everyone needs to make sure to read all the exclusions in their insurance policies. I recently found out that many policies do not actually cover the portion of the house or property that you are working on and only covers you if something near or around you is damaged. For example, if you are cleaning a roof and your ladder falls and breaks some windows the windows WOULD be covered. BUT, if you damage a bunch of shingles it WOULD NOT BE COVERED.

Apparently there are a lot of policies that do not actually cover the work you are doing only other areas that may get damaged as a result of the work. With that being said Joe Walters does cover you regardless. I almost found out this info the hard way. I am in the process of a claim and was originally told by the adjuster that I would not be covered. After speaking with Bonnie at Joe Walters she informed me because Joe Walters has a special program for Pressure Washers that all of those exclusions were waived and I WOULD BE COVERED.

care custody and control?? I think that's it, I have it, I also have J/W yaaa Chi Chi

That's it Steven. I could not remember exactly what they called it. Chi Chi is who I originally spoke with also. One great thing about them is if you need an insurance
certificate you will get it back in a couple hours or less for free.

what's the chances of them insuring my equipment for replacement cost? I have a trailer from Alkota that was made for another company. they built like twelve of them at around 32k dollars.

Not sure, Joe Walters does not insure equipment in Alabama. I think it depends on where you are located

He does not insure equipment down here in South Texas, that and his rate is about $500 more for less coverage so I stick with other companies. I like the idea of having my equipment insured. They told me that I live in a flood plain. It has not flooded here in forever, even with the category 5 hurricane, no flood. Maybe they are going off of maps from the 1500's or something.

+1.
Seems like their sending one for me every other week. Very prompt.

I am with Nationwide currently but will be switching in a month or so to State Farm, they just started selling business insurance last year around August or October.

Ive got State Farm Now

Yes I`m covered on what I`m working on and what is around me. I have to have coverage on everything I have contracts with cites . I sent Joe`s offices my coverages they couldn`t even come close. I needed 1,000,000 in Pollution Liability for a new contract. Joe office told me $2,200 for a yr. I got it with someone else for $1,800. I know a lot of guys use Joe but I think if you shop around you can save A LOT of $$$$$$
